  1. Re:that is correct on SSSCA Hearing October 25th: Free Software Threatened · · Score: 1

In other news, the US has descided to air-strike the EU headquarters in Brussels, due to claims of being involved in terrorism.
Aparrently, the EU has failed to pass security laws (such as the SSSCA) on the behalf of international treaties. In addition, they seem to be harboring thousands of known terrorists which seem to have violated the American Anti-Terrorist Act (ATA) by participating in copyright violations and trafficing in circumvention devices.
Due to these grusome violations on behalf of the EU, the US government has no choice but attack the EU headquarters until they comply with US anti-terrorist legistlation.

All this means is that you must compile using a "secure" compiler. If you want to work with regulated media (like sound or video), you will need to use approved pre-compiled libraries that do not allow siphoning of content. The OS won't let you monkey with any content that has been tagged as copyright.
.... and there goes the option of having an open-source OS. Also, what OS do you think will they make the "approved" libraries for?

It's below my level to respond to this junk. Linux is not "complex". It's beauty is it's simplicity. It's not childish-- quite the contrary. It doesn't try to hide everything from the user, treating him like an idiot, but rather lets the user decide what she wants.
