Democrats supported TPP because it pushed environmental and labor protections into countries not otherwise interested in them. It did some (not enough - but then we are dealing from a position of weakness so some was all we could hope for) to contain China and quite a bit to protect IP. Trump was against it because the Dems were for it. The only constant in todays GOP is "if Dems are for it we are against it!" they have no other postion on anything they will actually keep. The morons who voted for hair furor knew nothing of the agreement, only that they had been feed a line of shit by radio & TV talkers spewing the Republican line. They got suckered but we knew that was going to happen. Now that it is too late, now that TPP is fucked up Dump wants to come crawling back to it. And those same talkers will tell the morons this reversal is all Obama's fault & they will eat it up because apparently they love to eat shit

  11. Anybody here know that during WWII the Allies sent coded messages via BBC radio broadcasts? This is not rocket surgery boys & girls. Sending via a tweet hides the possible recipients & is probably why the Intercept is upset, Putin does not know who the mole is.

  14. For 20 years you have been able to buy the Revel model of the Aurora. The plans were stolen by a designers girlfriend and sold to the model maker. Aurora is the hyper-sonic replacement to the SR-71, it is launched from the back of a larger plane and typically causes double sonic booms. The DoD refuses to acknowledge the existence but it has been reported on in the past.

The Villages are famous for a couple of interesting problems. High rates of STDs is one but not the important one here. There is a huge theft problem with their customized golf carts the olds drive around there. A chop shop ring was recently busted run by some of the residents. They steal the cars, chop them & sell the parts. Could be interesting to see how long self driving cars can make it there.

  17. My brother owned a movie theater until a couple years ago when he sold out to a big chain. He never got a dime from the blockbuster movies, 100% of the first 1 or 2 weeks ticket sales went to the distributor. _IF_ the movie hung on the next 2 weeks he would get 20-30% of the ticket sales. It didn't hit 50% until week 4 or 5. That is why popcorn costs $10, it was his main source of income.

He lost primaries and he lost caucuses and despite what the Wikileaks edited emails were made to say, nothing untoward was done to him. The incessant whining about it did serve to depress liberal turn out though to the benefit of Trump and the people who arranged for the edited emails and incessant whining.
