Obviously they have mastered the handicraft of empoyment (directly from the website):"empoying high quality insulation". I can't find a patent for this so it must be protected by trade secret. Hmmm, to empoy something, I wonder how one does that? By using the cable to play Poy Poy for a very long time?

  3. Re:Respect please on Fantasy Author Robert Jordan Passes Away · · Score: 1

Note that I do not think there is anthing wrong with jokes about dead people if done with respect. I used the word mock (defined as 'to treat with contempt or ridicule'), not joke about. There is as far as I know no culture where it is ok to mock a deceased that has done no evil. He just tried to tell the world a fantasy tale. Is that worth contempt? Or disrespect, in life or death?

I would not mind people laughing at my funeral either as long as it is done heartfully.

"Safe journey Robert. I bow in respect to you. I am sure that you really tried to give us a grand and epic fantasy story even if it in the end was spoiled by meaningless commersial interests almost certainly forced by the publishing industry."
Oops did I say that out loud? Shame on me!

  4. Respect please on Fantasy Author Robert Jordan Passes Away · · Score: 1

I am really sad to hear this. I have read and enjoyed a number of the WOT books and even though there is much to criticize about dragging out the plot too long with meaningless subplots and inconsequences in the story I really do not care for all replies that disrespect him and his work with empty puns or even plain harshness.

Yes, he is dead and is not hurt by these replies but he has given so much to the fantasy genre building up a huge fanbase with millions of readers of his books that I think that his work and his nearest should at least be respected. The mocking of the recently deceased is one of the clearest signs of lack of intelligence and compassion in my eyes and does not belong in any forum.

    Please!

Safe journey Robert. I bow in respect to you. I am sure that you really tried to give us a grand and epic fantasy story even if it in the end was spoiled by meaningless commersial interests almost certainly forced by the publishing industry.

  6. Re:So ? You swedish are going to let this slide ? on MPAA and FBI Help To Train Swedish Police · · Score: 1

My experience (as a swede) is that the general public in Sweden (the middle-swenson or medelsvensson i.e. joe sixpack) are mostly ignorant of important issues as long as they get their weekly dose of celebrity news and glorification of national sport heroes. Intellectual property issues are mostly unknown, the problems with patents are rarely discussed and people do not understand how big business (and the media monopolists in particular) lobby away our freedom and integrity.

  9. Name 'Rouge' probably not a mistake on Anti-Piracy Bureau of Sweden Planted Evidence · · Score: 2, Insightful

The name is probably taken from the popular swedish agent novel Coq Rouge (meaning red rooster, code name for the agent in the novel). It is a perfect name for an infiltrator.

  10. Latest press release show their intentions on Subdomains Part Of The Patent Frenzy · · Score: 1

If there was any doubt about their business plan their latest press release shows what they are doing: IDEAFLOOD, INC. TO SELL CORE INTERNET PATENT. They patent obvious web techniques and try to sell the patents to the highest bidder. This first subdomain patent threat may just be to show potential bidders that the patents they hold have a potential value. If they manage to sell their patents I do not think IdeaFlood will pursue patent violation claims anymore. They leave that to their patent buyers.
