Bios are what a band sends out to magazines and other publications to tell them all about themselves. A self written advertisement or blurb, if you will. It's relationship with a computer, i'm not so sure about. I guess you could type it up on Word?

This is one of the main reasons I don't believe it's true. C'mon, we've all heard Billyboy's droning before, and it is NEVER an attack on it's users like this. I call shenanigans.

It seems to me you are confusing intelligence with maturity. The problem is, the two often do NOT go together. I met a helluva lot of smart people at uni that were either morally bunkrupt or socially inept. Don't let it get you down. I'm not going to comment on the second half of your post, but just remember, at university age, most people are at the perfect age for being sexually mature, having some semblance of an income, and capable of making decisions for themselves while still being reasonably sheltered from real life, and ultimately, responsible for their own actions (ie; there are no really serious repercussions for drinking heavily, etc). Usually the smarter ones mature and grow out of it. The ones that don't? Well....

It's not really that hard to fix the contact pins permanently. All you do is pull the cover off, remove the cartridge slot and then use a really small flat screwdriver to (one at a time works best) bend the pins on one side toward the centre. I have used this technique on my NES, SNES and N64 successfully. It's kinda hard to explain, but have a look inside and you'll see what to do. Once you've done it though, your console works perfectly for a very long time (until it's time to do it again!) Another problem i've encountered is that the breadboard inside the cartridge itself gets loose over time, so you just open up your cartridge and fix that as well! (if it applies, only about 8 of my 200+ NES carts needed it done, mostly ex-rentals)

Okay, only two months after. I was just assuming about the UK because they are both PAL. My point still is that a couple of months early here is a couple of months late there, so to me, in relation to the parent's assertion about sales figures and so-called "headstarts" it all comes out in the wash. I know for sure that both the PS2 and XBox were out for at least 8-12 months before the GCN here in Australia, because I ended up buying an XBox after waiting too bloody long for the GCN to be released! Now I got my GCN though, so i'm happy.
