  1. for all you saying... on MPAA Wants Copy-Controlled PCs · · Score: 1

For all of you saying you'd rather go to the movies or rent the movie for a 5 nights. I have downloaded the lotr divx (really good quality I must add), and then I took roommates laptop, which has an s-video out, and hooked it up to my stereo receiver, which has video out put to my tv. So, I watched the lotr divx, on a nice size TV w/ surround sound. So, you dont actually have to watch divx on yer computer. There are ways around this. The only bad thing is when you get divx over 2cds, like lotr, you have to change cds. Off the laptop it played great and even looked great. Id even go as far to say on my tv (which is a pos) it looked as good as some dvds. But this probably wouldnt be the same if I had a nice new Sony Trinitron.

  2. dumb mpaa on MPAA Wants Copy-Controlled PCs · · Score: 1

There is no way they will be able to stop everything. They should just live with the fact that this will continue to happen, no matter what they do. They didnt think dvds could be cracked, but that happened. If this does happen, give it time and someone will figure away around this bullshit the MPAA is trying to impose on all of us. And everyone again will be downloading movies. It is just a huge circle, and there isnt anything the MPAA can do to stop it. They should just pull there heads out of there ass and live with it. They are not able to stop it, no matter what and how hard they try.

This past summer I tried to get a job at both Circuit City and CompUSA, and didnt get either. So I had to settle for a lame on campus job, where I dont do anything (cept homework, which i guess aint that bad).

  6. seeing how we are on the subject of mp3 players... on Where are the non-SDMI MP3 Players? · · Score: 1

Anyone have any experiance/knowledge of a good car mp3 player? I had an unexpected run in this summer and to make a long story short my cars cd player got trashed as it was thrown into a stream (a long with me). So I am looking to replace this with an mp3 player. What are some good ones for the car?

  7. Re:Philips eXpanium on Where are the non-SDMI MP3 Players? · · Score: 1

I bought the eXpanium this summer. Its great cuz it can play rw's too. So no need in wasting cdr's (even though they are cheap theses days). And right now I have about 150 songs on my rw and its only about 400megs full. Its good for playing mp3 cds, but when you try to play a regular audio cd it skips easily (as I found out trying to skate and listen to a regular cd)...I think thats the only bad thing about the eXpanium.

Hey don't forget the almight atari 2600. Where would gaming systems be without this pioneer? You can get this system on ebay too. I got mine for about $40 with 8 games. So, forget the xbox, game cube and ps2. Go with the classics!

Well, I dont say fuck george lucas, but Howard the Duck is a classic movie. I mean, a duck from outer space is a classic movie idea, a little on the dumb side, but can't win them all.

  11. knives, guns on Further Updates On Terrorist Attack · · Score: 1

They are saying they brought in knives and used those to hijack the plane. Recently I had my jaw broken and I had to get titanium plates in my jaw. But I asked the doctor if I would set off the metal dectors at the air port and he responded "no, you could bring a gun made out of titanium through the metal dector and it wouldnt set it off." I do not konw if titanium is easy to get a hold of... but I bet if you tried you could. This is scary if there exists a metal that will not set of metal dectors. Think its time to upgrade airport secerity?!?
