It's not just the fact that she's a blonde girl, the whole being rich thing plays a big role. this is going back a few years, but they just mentioned the 2 year aniversary of her dissapearance, has anyone ever heard of Molly Bish? She was a 16 year old lifegaurd, in central MA i believe, pretty, blonde hair girl who was abducted while she was working and still hasn't been found. I bring it up because although it did get a fair amount of local coverage i'm willing to bet that anyone outside New England has never heard the name because her family was not exceptionally wealthy.
of course just because they start off being sterile doesn't always mean that they won't mutate. mother nature has a tendancy to screw with stuff that we carefully craft. chaos theory anyone?

obviously not posted by an english major.:)
In all seriousness though, I'm a Comsci major who just finished his first year, and in college you learn about a lot more than just what's narrowly in your field of interest, at least where I am. It's about developing critical thinking skills, communication skills so you can better sell yourself and your ideas to your employer or potential employer, and you generally mature socially in college.
making money right away is nice, but college kind of eases you into the real world while at the same time giving you an opportunity to build your skills and your resume with internships and such.
and as to what that assclown above me says about profs having no real world experience, he must have gone to some back-assward state school, all my professors have worked for major computer and/or engineering companies.

just because a something is a law, it doesn't mean that it's right. not to oversimplify or try to reach too much, but remeber that whole civil rights thing a little while back? A lot of things were illegal then that are legal now, and that's because people openly defied those unjust laws.
great, I'm having enough trouble getting work done as it is with all the n64's and ps2's in my dorm. now the productivity's really going down the crapper i guess
i'm not exactly sure about the physics, but i think using a firearm in a presurized environment is bad idea, if nothing else you can depresurize the entire plane if you shoot through a window or wall, and i think that a small explosion in a pressurized environment can trigger a bigger one or something to that effect.
maybe give all the pilots and flight attendants tazers would be a better idea. would also be able to use them on people with a bad case of air rage too.
a hypnotist? brainwash everyone in the place into thinking that open source is bad. God knows they've got enough money to make a brainwashing mashine

as craig kilborn said: "who needs GPS when all you have to do is follow Prince Henry"
better watch out, he could threaten /. with a lawsuit next :)

no kidding. "Excuse me, general, would you mind telling us, in detail, how this operation is going to be carried out?"
