I like the way my cum tastes.
I jerk off with my left hand and catch the ejaculate on my thumb and forefinger.
I usually give it a sniff, then slurp most of it down.
If any remains on my hand, I lick it off, and if any has landed on my belly, I use my index finger to scrape it off.
Then I go into the bathroom and wipe off the remainder with toilet paper - and I make sure to flush it. No need to keep it around to stink up the joint.

An earlier suggestion of using mod_gzip to compress pages before transmission is a great idea to reduce server bandwidth by nearly an order of magnitude. This should be implemented as a matter of urgency imho.

From the IRC Log at 17:16:

    Questions
Metaliman asks: How much bandwidth does slashdot use in a day?
    CmdrTaco
12-20 megabits on the main box.
probably half thta on the images box.
    Less since we started gzipping.
we were spiking at like 35 total.

    -- --

In this comment, Micah suggested "...mod_gzip works wonders on Slash based sites, so I have no idea why they don't use it here."

To which CowboyNeal replied "We already use it. It's a noticeable amount of bandwidth that we save, but it's far from half"

So you see, you had the right idea, but were beaten to the punch.

Actually, I kinda like the metaphor, even though it's far from perfect.
British Empire as Microsoft, newly formed United States as Linux...people all over the world contributed, yet bent to the will of those in charge (Congress / Judiciary / Executive vs Linus, Alan Cox, etc). The Americans needed / wanted more room, so they killed the Indians (BeOS, etc).
Every so often British would pay off some Indians to fight the Americans. This tactic would gain some ground, but the Americans were capable of fending off these attacks.
Then came the Civil War (code forking), which ended with everyone back on the same side, kinda (code merging), but with distrust all around.

And in the end, folks, Britian and the US made peace and became allies.
