Why would you want to override the fonts on some sites, but not others?

I'm sure the terrorists will remember this and not attempt to override the autopilot, which I'm sure will be possible. Otherwise, I'd really question getting on such a plane.

At first, I was dissapointed that they didn't go with Peter Lada's design. But this one is starting to grow on me. However I have a few problems with it:
    • "Read more" would still be better off on the left, with the other stuff on the right.
    • No clickable title links!
    • "Posted by" info is too big and bold and distracts from the key info.
    • No obvious hint for collapsing the left menus.
    • Don't see much of point for collapsable menus in the first place, it's not really needed in this situation.
    • Bottom part of article looks disconnected from rest. Using a non-linier gradient fill might solve it without changing the design much.
    • I think the font in the side columns could be knocked down a size, and maybe knock the article text up one.

Yeah, but my entire point IS that not everyone is dropping cameras in reefs while doing research to protect the oceans (and reefs, themselves). I'm not talking about the many other people causing damage to reefs for whatever other reasons.

I agree. I could really use MacBook Pro. But 3 weeks? That's pushing it a little, especially if they want decent CSS templates that have been debugged for browsers etc. And passing it through the design community is also a good idea -- especially sites like A List Apart.

This really begs the question: Have you ever been depressed?

Most of the time, when people are truely depressed, they don't do much constructive. Perhaps there are some times where depression may lead to something insightful in art and literature. But to say that it may have prevented Lincoln from doing anything about slavery really shows a lack of understanding of what depression is. If you want to know what Lincoln's thoughts on slavery were when he was depressed, it probably would have been something like "who gives a fuck?"

I hope this is only a Beta thing. It's kinda funny that they'd even consider embedding CSS considering how lean they make all their sites. I guess each page will have a different style and probably won't have many repeat visitors. But if many people visit more than one or two pages of a site, it would still probably save quite a bit of bandwidth.
