The truth of the matter is Apple users actually use their phones for web surfing more than Android do. There are so many android devices out there that pale in comparison from a hardware/usability stand point that they simply aren't used the same way iPhones and top of the line Android phones are. They are given out for free/on the cheap so why not get one, whether you need or want the capability. I hardly ever use the internet on mine for surfing. Number of units isn't a very good benchmark to use.
Climate change is big business. Those in the profession who don't push the agenda end up hungry. Money corrupts all, and at this point I basically have a hard time believing anyone 100%. Scare tactics work, and generate money. And when caught in a flat out lie, over overexageration it becomes a 1 step forward, 2 steps back as far as trust with me.
If you consider the potential loss of a few days for being down compared to being sued into oblivion if an accident had occurred the answer as to whether it was the correct decision becomes obvious.
One would think, however when the specific question is asked all that is said is, "You've seen the pictures" or something like that. the only picture I saw seemed to imply they actually were open buckets of fuel.
Oh please. That is about the most boneheaded thing he could have done. Stairwells full of open buckets of fuel being handed off to people. What could possible happen if a fire occurred? The guy should be fired for needless risk to not only the people, but the building in general. Just so he could keep his stupid uptime hours going after they had already notifed everyone things would be shutting down at any time.
The myriad of regulations that were probably broken during all this should turn a watchful eye. Luckily no one was hurt and nothing bad happened, but it was just that, luck.
Let's look at the vast majority of people who haven't gone to college and be inspired by them. This is like saying that the 2 people who won $250M each in the lottery should inspire us all to spend all of our disposable cash on lottery tickets. Statistically your chances of becoming rich as a professional athlete are probably better than becoming Bill Gates or Zuckerman. Oh, not to mention, both of them were in college, and without it and the resources that were available to them because of that neither would have what they have now.
They aren't changing anyone's diagnosis other than lumping it all under Autism. It's not like they are going to not diagnose, or suddenly call anyone previously as cured. If anything this will increase research money because Autism numbers will bump up and the former Aspergers and Autism is much better funded with a nice pool of money to draw from.
To see the mess this turns into in a few years. Relying on a volunteer using a platform and all products that they choose, none of with will have any sort of actual support model behind them is a recipe for disaster as soon as you become disenfranchised with it all. Seriously, take a look at the number of projects out there that start off and then die on the vine as soon as interest is lost, which in something like this will be very quickly once you get something running and interest wanes.
What are you really going to get out of it compared to set calibrated weather stations that are probably within a dozen miles of where you are. Other than the fact that someone has their phone on the 25th floor throwing things off. Or driving in a car with the heater/ac on throwing things off, etc. Fun thing to play with, but to think it's going to improve on what we have available is a bit much for most people.
I recently saw a documentary about how the remaining populace of Pripyat are not only surviving but in some form thriving. Clearly all of the reactors shown still have their containment buildings intact.
DRM may not stop piracy, but there are many people out there who aren't outright looking to pirate things. These are casual users like my mother who has tons of silly little puzzle and mind type games that she buys for a few bucks. Her friend comes over and wants a copy and she gives it to them thinking nothing of it. Low and behind it doesn't work. It's a $5 game so nobody really cares. DRM isn't about the hard core pirating community in a fully electronic world. It's about discouraging the casual user who primarily passes around physical media around.
Seems like a nightmare for them. Now they will have to try to manage demand and inventories based on desired cpu. Or will Intel remove some options off the table and say this is what you will get?
And for years the Ford Taurus was the best selling car. And the F150 series the biggest selling vehicle on the planet. What are these numbers supposed to say? Especially when the vast majority of those phones are still running 2.something and can't even run things target for the newer.
NASA is a huge bureaucracy that is behind the curve in this aspect. The sad part is that they apparently have more laptops to lose with HR type information on them than they do ITAR. Which pretty much sums up NASA right now.
It's about what was written in reference to it. The picture was fine, the words associated with it were deemed offensive. Debate all you want the worthiness of that, but at least report it like it is.
The monopoly is per brand. If Ford owned every Ford dealership you would pay the same no matter where you went. The monopoly isn't about cars in general, but make and model pricing.
Let's see, what is so special about 1990? Oh ya, reunification! It's easy to improve your green house emissions when you have suddenly inherit Soviet era power.
Thank you for making all decisions on how I should use a device that I buy for me. Of course when Apple does this it's bad.

These were web servers, most of which apparently were already shut down. Not a city/town :)

Wrong, diesel fuel burns just fine, though it is slightly more difficult than gasoline. What it doesn't do is explode under normal compression.

A $60M reduction in orders isn't what puts you out of business when you are a company with $900M in debt. You're doomed either way.

NASA deals with ITAR all the time.

Walmart profits on necessity spending. How many cell phone apps fall into that category?

The only ones who believed the race was a 'virtual tie' were those who had gains to be had by it being so, namely the media.
