That's kind of misleading. The purchase vs rent decision itself doesn't help them skirt any tax laws. It's simply a way to spend the money before they send it back to be taxed. The fact that they are building rather than renting has no tax implications on its own. It's just that they are spending a boat load of money before bringing it back.
The batteries are used primarily to start the APUs. They are required because unlike just about any other commercial aircraft the APUs are actually needed in flight. This is how they can come up with the engine efficiency claims as they don't use bleed air from them for power, they always use the APUs. So in the event of an in flight restart having to happen you need the batteries.
If the cost of high speed internet is what's keeping you from getting started then you have a pretty weak business model. Compared to salaries and the myriad of other overhead costs decently priced internet are hardly the main concern.
Took my son to a friend of his 8 year old bday party. I forget the game xbox game, but from the title I just shook my head and low and behold it had an 'M' rating on it. I could see the mother looking at it and thinking of where she was going to hide it as their was no way her son was going to play it. Some parents are just clueless as to age appropriate. I'll stick with Forza Horizon and Lego Star Wars with my son.
I stopped really caring years ago about what happens to be on a computer. They all pretty much work at this point. Just like at a restaurant when I ask for a Coke and they say, 'Pepsi ok?' and I just say sure and go happily on with life.
I'm not so sure about that, and even if so, you are talking about such a piddle amount divided by so many policy holders that it rounds down to zero. A small price to pay for hopefully people being more careful.
Astronaughts are not your average joe! At least they weren't initially before we decided to start sending up teachers and the like. Last I knew they don't just take random people, but actually have criteria that must be met first.
Hopsice prices can't just arbitrarily go up for 99.9% of people who use insurance or medicaid. They work on prenegotiated rates. They can charge all they want, insurance is only going to pay them what they agreed to.
Some of the more rural places that still had a lot old farm equipment had it available when I was working at a gas station from ~92-95. The pump nozzle itself was a slightly larger diameter so as not to fit in a modern cars gas tank. The vast majority of places stopped sooner simply because it wasn't worth dedicating storage for the dwindling number of automobiles requiring it.
I believe it was actually Reagan who implemented the phone subsidy program. What everyone should really be upset about is why it took a Mexican company to figure out that they could make money by offering a cell phone and plan cheap enough that you could afford the whole thing with the subsidy.
The data space isn't about how large the end result film is. It's the data storage requirements for the entire production. This would include raw footage, cgi generation, presumably all archiving, and probably many other things. As in, I have a new movie I'm creating and need a petabyte of disk space to accomplish this. Not, I'm creating a 1 petabyte movie file.
My evidence is experience and empirical. A typical Bushmaster AR 15 , which while looks mean is a pretty cheap gun, freshly taken out of the box is not going to shoot thousands of rounds without issues. They need to be broken in, maintained, and gotten used to. I've seen plenty of people show up at the range with their brand new NRA hats and take out their shiny new black rifle, typically an AR 15 of some sort, try to pop off 15 rounds as fast as they can only to get 6 off. Or if it does work sit there scratching their heads wondering why they missed with every single shot. Malfunctions are quite common, for some definition of common which is arguable, for those who don't really know what they are doing and haven't taken care of things properly. All i'm saying is there is more to being proficient than possessing a gun, and video games don't help any.
In this case it was the fact that his mother took him to the firing range and he had a better understanding of the weapons he had than some joe schmo who just picked it up from the store or stole it from someones house and went on a spree. If you look at the history of these events more often than not the primary weapon of choice will jam and a secondary less effective weapon will start to be used. The pistol was only used to kill himself here. No amount of COD is going to teach you how maintain to reduce jamming, or in the event it does, how to clear it in a timely manner. The games may or may not have had an affect on him psychologically, but the mother is the one who taught him to be an effective killer.
The fact that witnesses in Columbine, Aurora, and Colorado have said the shooters were seen bunny hopping around to get from one place to another should suffice.
10,000 pieces of year on average for each office working. Give me a break. Unless they're counting prints of pages of Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Twilight and 50 Shades, along with the NY Times.
15% sounds great, but it's probably not attainable. $240/year per person is not very family friendly. And it's not very senior citizen friendly. I just don't see them hitting the number goals.
Oh, and if you look at the list of homicides for 100k people with guns Switzerland is the next highest "western" nation after the US. 2.97 to.77. ~ 4:1. Granted, not too bad. Now compare that to Japan which has about the most strict laws of.01, or 1:77 of Switzerland. Which is the larger impact?
While at one time they used to issue 50 rounds of ammunition along with it they no longer do. And 90%+ of the ammo that was issued has been returned when requested. You can't buy more, and purchasing another firearm of that type is impossible, and handguns are very difficult. Hunting rifles and shotguns are about it. So a society that has been shown to be responsible is given a gun, and one that is showing it isn't should not be. Trust is not only something you have to earn, but you have to be able to keep. Our forefathers earned it, the current batch not so much.
The fact that he tried to physically destroy things means he isn't nearly as smart as they want us to believe. They'll get quite a bit of it back. And more than likely will be able to get a pretty good profile of him by sequestering logs from various services, be it ISP, Xbox Live, etc.
As soon as governments, or those with their own means, start to kill a few of these attackers they will quickly lose much of their support. As it is now it's seen as a fairly safe way to cause some harm and feel like you are doing something on a boring Saturday night. Let a few of them be found in dumpsters and the majority of them will waste their time else where. Sure you'll always have the government sponsored professional programs going on, but say good byte to the majority of Anonymous, etc.

Would that be considered insider trading?

With no point of reference how can anyone tell what size it is? Yes, this is tongue in cheek...

Nothing says democratic process and representation like randomly having your vote count.

Meant to be Connecticut, not CO.

For evolving into a monster that actually provides better than average paying jobs for a brand new industry!!!
