Too bad the next Playstation will be on the Cell processor (or whatever it is). It would be neat if there was a Playstation app that will let users play the Playstation 3 games on the Mini (or other Macs).
Something like now Connetix had the Virtual Game Station way back when that let us play Playstation 1 games on the Mac.
I think the product that was priced WAY too high are those iPod leather cases. Sure it's leather. Sure it's got the Apple logo on it. But $99 and I gotta put the Nano in upsidedown?
Watch out, you're going to get all those responses of why would I want to tarnish OS X by putting it in a Dell computer? It's like [insert car analogy of your choice here]!!
For me I'd be fine running it on a Dell system (or any generic x86 system for that matter). I like OS X for OS X, not for the hardware that it runs on.
Yeah....I think this is how Windows really took off (may be a little off, but...oh well). All the people playing games that were Windows only and since they were used to Windows, they just stuck with it since it could do the basic "needs" (word processing, email, web, etc.).
Most of my friends who run Windows first started out with it because they wanted to play certain games that wasn't available on a Mac. Then they just stuck with that because that's what they knew and didn't want to have more than one computer.
Hopefully this won't mean down the road Office for Mac won't be killed off in such fashion and we be forced to use products that just import/export Office documents.
For me the remote's a little too small. Granted I don't want some huge clunking thing. Maybe something like how the TiVo remote is designed or the Logitec Harmony ones.
Not a fan of the Philips Pronto one either with the LCD display. Can't feel for the buttons on the LCD....
I think what's funny is that Dell was mentioned as one of the PC makers that approached Apple to open up the possibility of making Mac clones. So they moved from "shutdown the company" to "let's sell their stuff."
Haven't been too big of a fan of the Shuffle. I prefer the LCD screen and being able to pick what song I'm listening to. Hmmm.....With these improvements, maybe they'll throw a FM radio in it.

I see this. Not sure who would purchase a G5 or a G4 now knowing that within a year or two things will be much different. Maybe Apple should've released this announcment sometime closer to when the OS X for Intel would be available for the average user.
According to the MacNN coverage:
"Jobs introduces Wolfram's CEO, who said they ported Mathematica 5 to Intel-based Macs in 2 hours. Working version in 2 hours flat. Only about 20 lines of code changed."
I wonder how quickly it would take to port/recompile some of those Windows only games. It'll be great when I won't need a second system just to be able to play games.
It would be interesting if Apple found a way to use both PPC and x86 procs in their systems. So the new PowerMacs would be dual proc G5s and x86-64 or some combo. Would be neat....possibly.
I agree that Expose and virtual desktops can work well together. I think it also depends on the environment it's being used in.
An example of this is at work, I need to have serveral different applications open, each having multiple windows. It works well when I separate them by virtual desktops and then use Expose when I need to find a certain window of that application when I'm on that desktop.
However, at home, I am not running as many applications so Expose is sufficient enough to sort through the open windows.
There are techniques to help with your premature ejaculation.
I suddenly feel like watching the Minority Report again.
I figured I would finally get my mom a computer that even *she* couldn't get infected, so guess what I got her for Mother's Day?
MacDefender?
Batman is a character created by DC. Steve Jobs was not created by Apple (though some would argue...).
Which device, pray tell, is a "CELLPHONE?"
The iPhone.
Next week, maybe we'll see 5,000 stories on Google news about how somebody stole a lawnmower.
Is it a prototype?
You've clearly given this some thought.
I think it's from experience.

Oh man. You don't know what you started. All tech geeks are going to buy one of these now. Watch the Apple store for the 3 month back order... :-D

You know what lawsuit is going to come next? Apple's OS, Mac OS X, only runs on Apple's computers. Man, that's a monopoy!

I think you mean snappier... ;-)

Almost makes you want to go back to using VCRs and tapes since you won't have to deal with this stuff there....

Hehehe....this one's kinda like My Trailer Park
