  2. Tires that last the life of the car ride like shit. For a while, you could buy a 120k mi consumer tire (I sold tired in college). They did hold up as well as they said, but you felt you were riding on a school bus. People frequently brought them back.

    Being anti-social and lacking empathy doesn't make you a better coder, it makes you an asshole. You can be both; a good coder and a good person. Being deficient in a healthy human emotion shouldn't be a badge of honor.

    I work in medicine, and while many fail at empathy, at least there is a focus on it.

    Lots of these Pi accessories are neat, but completely ruin its ability to be sealed in a case. It looks like this one will fit.

    Any ideas?

    I make plenty and own my home mortgage-free, but too much of the country is getting the short end of the stick.

    A few minutes opening up the case for an original NES, and you can get rid of flashing crap. It's caused by their lockout chip, and it's trivially easy to disable. https://www.thevintagegamers.c...

    It depends on the device. For iPhones its usually the same, until about six months in, then you'll start seeing discounts elsewhere.

    Phones haven't been a status symbol for years. The person viewing you with the phone doesn't care and the person buying the phone doesn't care what you think. NO ONE CARES.

    It's interest free, so why not? I personally purchase my phones (every 3 or 4 years at minimum) with cash, but for many if they didn't have these payment plans they would just put it on a CC and have to pay even more.

    SCOTUS tends to stay out of state matters such as this (single state, no opposing rulings in various circuit courts). State supreme court is probably as high as they can go. They could appeal to SCOTUS, but it's doubtful they would take the case.

    Not news, but Comcast has and continues to modify websites.

  19. And then, in half of the states, adult children are on hook for their deceased parent's medical bills, if estate is not enough to cover it.

    While legally true, those laws are very old and so rarely enforced that it's almost unheard of. Last time anything similar was enforced in any state was 2012 in PA, and it was for a living parent in a nursing home, not an estate.

    Any gaming I do is on my Switch. My PC doesn't get used for games.
