Phoenix borowed quite alot from the mac GUI, thats why it's such a good windows app. Seems the last program to do that (Excel) ended up doing quite well also. Interesting trend, I wonder why it is (note sarcasm).
Because the rumor *ISNT* that apple is going to release a tablet pc, the rumor is apple is going to release a tablet-style upsized pda. Whereas Microsoft is so buisy trying to justify rediciouls windows license costs and has to turn every machine into a "desktop replacement", one would simply have to buy a 5machine license for osx when the next upgrade rolls around. This would make a "tablet" with an 8inch screen running osx actually useful, as opposed to the crap microsoft is trying to push right now (tablets *are* the future, tablets as desktop replacements are not).
On a mac there is an application directory. When you click on it you see icons representing the whole of all the files an application contains. If I were to browse these contents manually I would see an assload of stuff, but since they are normally hidden from the user the Application directory itself is used in place of the start menu.
You really have to use a mac for a while to understand this one, after you do you will see how fucked up the start menu really is.
I'm posting from a G4 677. Let me say either one of two things is true: This machine is comparable to a 1.5ghz p4, or OSX is so amazingly optimized that it feels like the former.
Though I agree the PPC 970 will be a nice addition, everyone I know who knows anything thinks the P4 exists for the sole purpouse of making a higher MHZ number.
As a Mac user who uses Chimera as my main browser I can say the following safely.
Chimera is *SLOW*. Every time I switch back to phoenix I'm awe struke at it's speed. The Chimera team really should fold considerable chunks of the phoenix code into themselves, or something rather drastic.
Alternatively Phoenix should release a version that has "apple look and feel", but I get the impression there might be an under the table deal between Apple and Netscape to leave Chimera as the only viable browser.
I love phonix, I just wish it was about twice as fast.
Yeah but clinton aids didn't call up all potential gvt workers and ask them their views, and who they voted for, then refuse jobs based on their voting record.
Just another one of those countless things that makes me happier and more productive using a Mac.
All current Mac's do this, I've not seen any consumer NIC's that do this for PC land. Macs are consntly like this, not shockingly better, but just a little more convenience with every part adds up quickly.
How expensive would it be to put the space station in orbit around the earth and the moon? One thinks it would burn significantly less fuel there (read none except corrections), and unmanned shuttles don't take significantly more fuel to switch orbit if you give them a long enough orbit time.
My IT department decided to turn all of our christmas bonuses into a tax deductable donation to charity. They of course give us the ability to provide input as to which charity they will choose, but we cannot ask to get cash ourselves (why would anyone do that!).
I think alot of the problems with "mac" serches (for making that top 10) is there are actually two os searches (and I've never had a need to search for the word mac). I always type "osx" and then retype "os x" if I don't get the results I need, kind of annoying.

Also to be noted in the google stats is Mac's broke 5% of the total searches for the first time since google started publishing stats. They omitted this from the year end results, but if you check the archives you can see this.

Huge difference between the proposed products.
I looked at a connection from IE6 and it sent the apropriate packets. Please discard parent article.

I get 4 hours of life from my TiBook regularly with airport enabled, I've heard iBooks give similar performance.
x86 laptops tend to suck to be quite honest, if you've ever owned one you know what I mean.

yes, perhaps if you hadn't said "open source loosers" someone might have listened.
Ritalin is like crack to come off though, thats a major drawback to it.
When I droped it in 7th grade it took me almost 3 months to get over withdrawl.

Slight difference there.
What does semper fi mean?
It's also important to note they aern't sequels, they are one year interludes while they finish the CG elements for the next movie.
The year is like a big long intermission.
It makes alot more sense if you think of it that way.
Ditto, the urge is getting stronger every week or so.

well.. so um
what is it?
You outsorce the goverment.
Oh wait... thats what this article is about isn't it?
Where's the commie hunts when you need them, hm?
You outsource the goverment.
ok I've had my fun. I'll refrain from any further russian jokes.
On the contrary, Cable is the one with bandwidth caps (eg it could go faster -- but we don't want you to). DSL has bandwidth rates.
I have cable through mediacom, we regularly get sub-56k speeds even in the wee hours of the morning.
It's not a universal trait of either service type.

Actually your wrong, your only 1/3 of a person. Unfortunatly you don't get a choice in what parts to keep...
a=b
aa=ba
aa-bb=ba-bb
(a+b)(a-b)=b(a-b)
a=b therefore a-b = 0
(a+b)*0=b*0
0=0
a=b for all reals.
Mines better (and requires more effort to spot the flaw =p)

I personally think it's disgusting.
