  2. Both Vtech & Panasonic have cordless phones that will accept a regular phone line, or bluetooth connect to a cellphone, or both. The one I have can connect to at least two phones, with a distinct ring for each. That way you can leave your cell where it gets service and still use the line all around the house.

  3. I recently discovered that there are cordless phones that will bluetooth tether to a cellphone. If you only get cell coverage in a specific part of your house, this might be an option. I bought one for my Mother in law since she couldn't figure out how to work a smart phone properly.

  8. I can see an argument for day to day browsing from your home ISP, although I disagree and trust them little. Anywhere else you hop on a wireless network, it should make alot of sense to anyone.

    Did he stutter? Conservatives want to throw money at companies instead of people. They are worried about stockholders.
    They also love running around with guns pretending to help, never mind the legions of American's forced to grow up on the military teat, never learning to stand alone.

    Stick a box in the corner with x2go. You can load all your linux apps on Windows, seamlessly, similar to citrix. You can also do a full desktop if you prefer.

  17. Try mobaxterm portable edition. It's the command line windows should have had, it's not Open Source, but there is a free version.

    I don't even really need your consent. How many of you have a stupid cousin? I know my brother dumped his DNA into one of these systems so he could...? Not sure why. Their data sets are risible when it comes to identifying your ethnic makeup, and I'm also uncertain why anyone really cares about that?

  22. Linux backup systems are so much more flexible then windows and relatively easy to use. If your not linux savy, Unitrends has a great solution. I've used them in the past and it's top notch support.

  23. I backup to a 2nd drive in the same computer. cron.weekly has a job that mounts the drive, rsyncs the data, and takes a btrfs snapshot before unmounting the drive.

    Of course I have a 2nd job that rsyncs to a virtual machine in another country.
