You're really over-simplifying an airplane's control systems; most "fly by wire" planes use hydraulics, and multiple hydraulic lines at that. Your "fly by wire" car is quite different.
How is this post helpful? Well gee, you don't have the problem. Big deal. The thing is other people _are_ having problems. One of my photography friends has had to replace the motherboard in his Powerbook twice already-- and there's no explanation on what keeps causing the problems. Apple just keeps sucking it up and offering a replacement motherboard (meanwhile, he's out of a laptop for weeks and weeks, which is important to his photography business.)
I hate to break it to you, but Compaq makes some of the crappiest notebooks in the world. I've seen laptops that were only a year old start to have their cases seperate, screws randomly fall out, screens fail, and hard drives overheat. What gloriously designed machines.
Clearly you're not qualified to own or operate that piece of hardware (the dual Xeon workstation.) Please package it up immediately and ship it to my address.
Wow, I totally didn't know that. I can't recall the name of the map, but there's a side entrance the Axis players have to watch (the Allies are trying to take out two communications towers) -- and it's covered with grass, and even though I can't see someone hiding in the grass, they'd snipe me or take me out pretty easily. This cheat explains a lot.
I can get Doom3 to run in single player just fine-- high quality setting, 1024x768 on a Radeon 9800 Pro 128meg card..... but the instant I go try to play multiplayer, my framerate is just about halved or worse, and it's very sluggish.
The nForce2's 5.1 Dolby Digital SP/DIF output is amazing.
Why hasn't anyone else made a 5.1/7.1 card with SP/DIF out (and not just a DVD passthrough?) Also, you can forget creative, because I've never had their hardware work correctly with my machine, and the fact that they won't let me download drivers/software for my Audigy Platinum in Windows XP for free just makes me hate them all the more.
I'd love to use AllOfMP3, but they don't take American Express. Worthless.
Their model of "fill up your account with credits and then download" is a bit flawed as well. I just want to be able to select a track/album, and download it ala iTunes. Bill me automagically, please. Not in these blocks/chunks.
I've been using Lookout for a while and I love it; does exactly what I need and it's darn fast to boot!
If they're going to just gloss over, perhaps they shouldn't be voting?
Or heck, they might as well "einy meney miney moe" and pick a candidate at random when it comes time to vote.
VirtualDub or VirtualDub-Mod is free and does exactly what they need.
Wish they took AMEX :(
*sigh*
I've been unable to replicate this behavior on any of my own projects/sites.. does anyone have detailed instructions?
Yeah, 'cause "choose or lose" is totally non-partisan!
Just check out their site's sections, and you'll see it's clear who they're nudging you to vote for.

Check this out, I've been using it for a while.
Works fine here. I'm not using the Doom3 beta 4.9's, I'm using the final 4.9s:

Thanks.
Except, it didn't!
The Direct3d support only came in later patches/revisions, the original version didn't support Direct3D in any way.
Thanks for playing.
After the last survey they did, I actually e-mailed them regarding this and posted about it in the forums to no avail. Whatever.
Gee, that's funny, considering Half-Life 1 didn't ship with Direct3d support!

How did you even play it single player then?

Ok:
1) I hate Yahoo for putting very low kbps WMV trailers on the net.
2) The trailer itself is very cheesy/lame-- how is this supposed to appeal to anyone but die hard Ghost in the Shell fans?
3) Did I mention Yahoo's movie trailers suck?
Look at the bright side-- now Gator doesn't have to do marketing or polling research to see how installed/popular their product is!
Ok, how was I off-topic?
Wow.
Why does he need to update Office on the road?
Also, why doesn't his hotel have broadband access?

They don't accept Paypal right now. Who knows why.

I don't know where you live, but here in SoCal, they play Radiohead a lot on alternative stations-- "There There", "Creep", "Paranoid Android", etc.
Also, the latest Radiohead video (that I know of) is "There There", which is fairly recent/new.
