Having submitted a patent for biological respiratory systems, we have gone back and looked over some evidence, and are pretty confident that the majority of the world population (not limited to homo sapiens) may be infringing on our intellectual property.
Pending the outcome of our patent application we are offering carbon-based lifeforms to protect themselves from possible litigation by lisencing out technology for a low upfront fee based on the cell count of the organism.
By chosing to forgo purchasing a lisence, you may be opening yourself to a potential injunctive action down the road.
You don't understand... That's not a laptop, it's 1U server with a screen - so you can look at what's going on with your Windows 2003 when you need it most!
There's more to the new GBA-SP than just the backlighting. That makes it usable, sure. But the small size, and the shape make it cool. While the old GBA was way too childish for my tastes, the SP model just looks sleeker and cooler. Also, the ability to fold away the screen makes it perfect for sticking into a pocket for use on the train.
Nintendo did a smart thing by releasing this one - it's suddenly cool to have a gameboy, even if you're not a kid. I hope this will bring the console to older audiences and Nintendo will follow up by releasing games to match the interests of that demographic (versus just releasing games aimed at younger children)
Didn't you read the blurb (forget about the story)... The resume doesn't have to be a valid one:)
Since Microsoft is probably an equal opportunity employer, I wonder if they would consider a certain Mouse
... you can finally do what people probably wanted to for a long time - keep track of your appointments in glorious 320x320 full screen anti-aliased 12 bit color 3D!
Yeah... I'm sick of seeing all of these comic book movies get botched up and end up looking like some silly caricatures of a saturday morning cartoon show.
Not sure if they make a lot from the hardware business or not (though I imagine it's not too little), I know that they probably make much less from software, since it's not their business model to do.
Telling Apple to start selling software for the Intel platform is just like suggesting that Coca Cola "expand" into apparel manufacture. It may very well prove lucrative, but it's totally not what the company is all about.
Then you probably don't talk on your cell phone too much. As long as you keep using your PDAs as often as you do your cell phone, I don't think you will have any problems.
See, you're thinking about the *GOOD* PDA software. *GOOD* software exists on the PC as well, and nobody complains about the overabundance of features in it. Bad software can be made no matter how many megabytes of HD space you have available.
If the extra gig of storage will make writing those 20 good apps easier for the people who do it, do you really care that it also make it easier to create bloaded crap?
Horrible programs existed on the PCs in the DOS days, and they exist on PDAs today. Compare apples to apples.
Because your laptop will not fit in your pocket.
Because it will run out of battery 3 times faster.
Because it is uncomfortable to hold if you cannot find a seat on the train.
While you personally may not care to do things with a PDA that you generally need a bigger piece of hardware for, I honestly believe that the market for it is out there, and bigger than for silly things like cell phones with built-in MP3 players or cameras.
If you need 100GB for MP3s, you probably have the "Write-Only Syndrome" where you download music/movies/programs to add them to your collection, but never actually listen/use/watch them (well maybe once). While it's your right to do this, you have to admit that you don't really *NEED* all that space.
People are really running out of interesting stuff to "research", aren't they...

What next, the "space elevator"?.. Oh wait...

Wasn't that one of the characters in the original Street-Fighter 2 arcade?
RMS also for the first time publically claimed, that SCO's actual name should be GNU/SCO - gnusco for short.
If that's not the case, I as a consumer would be confused indeed.

A couple of thousand times.

I wasn't knocking the resolution so much as the processor specs. Do you really need a 400Mhz processor to drive a 320x320 screen?
Let's face it... being a gamer on Linux today is just a bit behind being a gamer on Mac...
And we've all seen THAT "Switch" commercial.
Oh... Wait....
I'm equally sure they do not produce this in-house but linsence their brand out to some clothes manufacturer.

The PVR market is still high end, still small and already saturated.
