    GPL v2 and GPLv3 do not restrict you in anyway how you can use the software. Some business models wish to make use of the software by distributing it. This requires adherence to the license.

    Cops have the authority to disperse a 'crowd' so that they can maintain order. Failure to disperse = failure to obey a lawful order = arrest/taser/mace Should we not lament that this trumps our right to peaceably assemble?

    the moment you were served, if your machine was on ...(snip) doing something ...(snip) could be destruction of evidence. And failing to do anything would almost certainly result in said "evidence" being modified too.

    Doesn't the definition of "storage" imply that the stored items are intended to be available "for future use", rather than for one-time use in the present?

    This created an entirely new problem: People forgetting access codes that changed every several months.

    If you rely on access codes, always have someone they can call for a code if they forget theirs. They would authenticate themselves to your office (or their office) and said office would read them their code.

    Excellent post. But if they couldn't trust anyone with their compromised player key, they could just release a slew of Title Keys and let someone else spend the bandwidth to seed torrents.

    Unfortunately the Aerogel, in order to remain in the same orbit as the crud it pursues, would have to orbit at the same speed.

    A solution in which the altitude and speed of the ginormous sponge changed dynamically to allow it to gobble up the offending crud would require propulsion of the unit, as well as computing power for guidance. Detection of crud and control of sponge could be handled onboard or remotely - that's mostly an engineering problem...
