People who sleep happy and have good dreams do not pick shotgun fights with strangers for no reason. Why are you so against people who like to sleep longer and nap happily as a cat?
When 900 years old, you reach Sleep as good, you will not.

What are having only zombie nightmares?
Thank you for misreading... that was supposed to be zen metaphor... you've just spoiled with your correct but very flat existential point of view:) but wow! you got 5 score for that!
16hrs of napping a day plus athletic abilities of felines? Plus aren't we all more happy dreaming anyway? There was one of scenes in Inception that group of sleep drug subjects preferred dream reality from awake one... what's reality anyway...
AL will be pure logic and as such not capable of experiencing emotion. It will understand emotion but will not act on them unless logically required. Therefore, AI will be atheistic by default.
The question we have to ask ourselves is different. Will humans be able coexist with AI or be displaced by AI. Coexistence would mean humans being marginalized, displacement means pretty much extinction. In both scenarios humans loose.
We could only accept that giving birth to AI will somehow preserve what’s the best of humanity in new, better, and improve evolutionary form.
If you took it literarily, you have serious issue. The statement is obvious humorous sarcasm intended to entertain Mac Developers. It is also obvious that would irritate Android fanatics.
As technical person working in technology, I have many technical friends that use iPhone or Android and sticking to it. Those are two different platforms with totally different ecosystem and philosophy behind them. Both have advantage and disadvantages. There is absolutely no reason to trash each others over differences.
The argument becomes pathetic like convincing die hard SUV owner that your new roadster is a better car.
Keurig forgets that it got popular exactly because 3rd party K-Cups are easily assessable. Going proprietary will work for them exactly how it worked for Iomega and their ZIP drives. If you really want classy cup of joe from single cup machine without the mess -- go Nespresso. That is like PC (Keuring) vs. Apple (Nespresso). First is drip style coffee, other is expresso style. And you have to see those European Nespresso commercials with Malkovich and Clooney!
Latest versions of Lotus brand suite were based on OpenOffice. Symphony was just the Lotus style shell over it. There was no native version for years. Anyway, it is interesting how IBM can walk away from products with arms... Hard drives, ThinkPads, now Lotus...
It all started with Apple settling name dispute over iPad with Chinese company. That set the precedence for other East Asian companies to follow the suit. There was already suit for Chinese "snow leopard" name, some other bogus one, and now this... I am not siding with any side, but that sounds like leaching on potentially easy settlement money...
You are correct. iCloud for OSX version of iWorks apps is not ready yet.
OK, that very optimistic post. iCloud is fully integrated with iOS iWorks apps, not with OS X yet. There are few things coming July/August time frame -- iOS6, OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion, and updated iCloud (in Beta now). Only obvious guess would be that iWorks apps for OSX will be updates with Mountain Lion that is why shutdown of iWorks.com happens end of the month.
If that is true all benefits of IMAP are gone. You have to go back to POPing your email to local storage. It is really harder and harder to run your own email server -- with all that useless SPAM blocker provider, with so many false positive blocks...
If you recall initial reaction to Albert Einstein papers... Scientific community is very cautious about new discoveries.
On the other note... reading that article it looks like even inventors do not really understand how that work, which is interesting. If that really is fusion, maybe scientific community should retest that in lab as a peer review, instead of rejecting it at the spot. Maybe they are on something... crossing fingers... I want one of those for my lab:))

I cannot officially disclose details, but most of functionality you are looking for is coming to iCloud shortly.

iWork.com was always in Beta. Documents sharing services were incorporated into iCloud thus making iWorks.com redundant.
