the really fun ones are the trick riders, it reminds me of the circus act where the bear rides the tricycle. you expect the bike to collapse at any second.

PNG has more graphic options than jpeg. Alpha channel for example. Probably whatever they are using converts everything to png for standardized processing
the chains were there to keep other 5 yr olds from stealing it. Tho it's probably there to stop Daddy from bringing home with a new present for their kid.
if the y chromosome remains relatively unchanged, and the X is subject to cross splicing with other x chromosomes (from either parent) that must mean that females at least as far as the sex-linked traits are concerned) evolves much faster than males, since there's rarely any opportunity for diversity in the Y chromosome?
So next time a woman calls you "barbaric" etc you can say Got that right!
found it is legal to own such a cannon because it does not use a firing pin and is muzzle loaded so the government does not consider the weapon a threat
I was just going to comment on that. That's the entire point of the right to bear arms ammendment, so the people ARE a threat to their government, should it get out of hand. (too late?)
caller id, if that's what you're getting at, is child's play to spoof. There are even 900 numbers you can call that will automate the process for you. I've seen people receive prank phonecalls from the white house, it's one of the most commonly spoofed numbers.
Not sure if you were trying to be humorous or insightful, but you're actually being informative.
I know at least three people that live in high crime areas, that leave their vehicle unlocked and the radio removed. They're tired of paying for new windows.
the only two excuses I can see for lack of network interoperability between a game and its ports are either (A) they deliberately don't want cross platform, or (B) they're idiots. (or possibly a dev team with a "we're going to do it THIS way" for a team leader)
Developing a smooth-flowing realtime multiplayer network protocol is a PITA, you have to have a serious reason to throw away something that's already developed to do it your own way. (been there done that, NOT fun)

batteries of this type typically have a fuse inside the pack, between two cells, so that in case the pack is shorted right at the contacts as they come out of the battery, that fuse will still go. Then there's sometimes another fuse inline with the leads or where one of the leads emerges from the pack. Manufacturers sometimes skip that one. But most products also have a microfuse on the board in series with the battery power which is why they can call it double-fused. One in the battery, and one on the board.
Especially with small products, they omit the external fuse on the battery, because it's not meant to be changeable/serviced anyway..
Last I looked, the senators took pains to draft into the bill that they themselves were exempt from the no-robocall rule for their political campaigns. (and my phone did ring off the hook with campaign robocalls in the last few elections too) Is this still the case?
It's probably not so much a matter of what base crypto they're using (a la AES, SHA, etc) but how they're implementing the key exchange when negotiating the connection. Implement good crypto wrong and you open the door. Initial negotiations between parties is a tricky, multistep affair for good security, to prevent MITM.
but when there's only a few good things to watch (and/or several good things on at the same time),
That's good news for the consumer. TV networks are well known to put good stuff on when other networks do, and crap when other networks do, so you have to pick what good show you want to watch because all the good stuff is on at the same time on different stations. (prime time) Time shifting adds a whole lot of goodness to the consumer.
the problem is though, until they are appealed and overturned, they're LAW and if someone wants to abuse them, they can. (and eventually, ALL laws that can be abused, will be abused, usually with increasing frequency until someone revolts and creates change) And until enough precedence is established, they REMAIN law. and even after that they can still be challenged. Until the law itself is clarified or struck down.
It can be called "my cat.jpg" and be the database of positive results. So, when agents request search warrants for electronic they articulate a need to search the entire media.
And unfortunately thinking like that is why they can literally tear your car down to the nuts bolts and wires at the border when doing a search for drugs. When they're done, and haven't found a thing, you know what you get? A toolbox full of tools and a space in their parking lot to try to put your entire car back together by yourself. (I know two that have had this happen to them when traveling between the USA and Canada)
By your logic they could literally tear a house down, tear apart the walls and the joists and dig up the foundation if they could suggest that a crack rock could fit in there, when searching a house on a drug warrant.
Unfortunately this is one of the innumerable examples of where the law is given overly broad power and it's left up to someone's judgement as to "how far to go" with it. Unless you have good evidence to suspect the perp has gone to extreme measures to hide something, you can't just ransack the place.
The house could settle or shift and crush or break the pipe (or there could be an earthquake).
I think if such an event occurred, I'd be more worried about the concrete foundation cracking than the copper pipe. (copper is actually a fairly soft metal and odds are good the foundation would crack to pieces long before the copper started having problems, unless the foundation's cracks sheered up the copper pipe)
This from someone with a totally trashed foundation cracking on three sides that really needs to get replaced soon... $$$$ *sob*

No. You forget that men get an X also
But males only get one, females get two
I didn't say there was a big difference here, just that there is a disparity.
And as far as evolution goes, it goes VERY slowly, so you really can't say small changes don't count for anything.

I suppose it's possible, but seems very unlikely...
I read "Christian Science Monitor" and was thinking that's about as sensible as the "MIT Fairy Tailes Quarterly"?

I think that's why we hear at the end of most political pitches, "I'm soandso, and I approved this message".

"which they aren't supposed to export". Client side security is not real security.
Not saying it's going to create a specific problem for you here, just keep that in mind when you read things like that. Never trust the client.

if your concrete foundation flexes enough to crack a soft metal like copper, your copper pipes are the least of your problems.
why do people keep bringing this up??? Metal. Rock. Why are you worried about the metal getting bent more than the rock?
