    Sorry, wrong. :) On OS X you don't have to show hard drives on the desktop. With this option on, only removable drives will show on the desktop.

    "All" for the better? How come Sony is the good guy in PS2 stories, but the bad guy in music stories? It's the same company. The money is going the same place.

    Sony will use the money they make from the "extra PS2"s to implement stronger piracy controls on music CDs, movies, and media, and to fund their advocacy of SSSCA (Sony owns a movie studio, too, you know..)

    Agreed, scifi's dune series rocked. In my opinion it is much better and more watchable than the original Dune movie. It's also longer, so that you can actually understand more about what is going on. And of course the effects are far better.

    It is not really any trouble at all to open up alt.binaries.e-books and grab the harry potters. They are posted quite often.

    Well said. The Harry Potter books are really, really well written and entertaining, even for non-kids.

    Actually there is now the Radeon 7000 Mac Edition, which supposedly can be had for ~$100. This is a cheap(er) card intended for folks wanting more monitors. It has one DVI, one VGA, and It COMES WITH a DVItoVGA adapter if you want 2 VGA monitors.

    They have realized this. The Apple iMac and the Cube both use convection cooling.
    PC makers aren't as creative.

    I worked on this movie. It filmed at Raleigh studios in Manhattan Beach (south of LAX) where they took over several stages between Nov 99 and Feb of 2000.

    The set was huge, and pretty amazing. They built the entire subway inside two sound stages, along with some sci-fi buildings (the hospital).

    Apparently they had distribution problems which prevented its release. We also worked on Evolution, which started filming several months AFTER Impostor finished, but obviously was released a while ago.
