I would be down with something around a quarter. Now that morpheus is possibly the worst functioning software I have ever had to use I would be really cool with paying a quarter so that I could dl at like 50kB/s. If they can do that I am there.
i would assume he included design time in the CAD environment. also add in the fact that the first time you do something like this it takes way to much time then it would to recreate. I am not sure, so this will be strictly a guess but i would assume the next one could be done in under 20 hours and i wouldn't be surprised if it took even less time.
the problem is that you are talking about software. not that it is easy but it is easier to make an OS. i can if i put in enough time, and it would be alot of time, make a OS that would run something and that would cost me $0 so yeah any kid at college can make the next revolutionary OS or software application but if I don't have capital I can't make a chip
plus im a software guy and I will tell you that you can be a lot dumber and pull of being a programmer than you can be dumber and do chip making. so in conclusion anyone or group of people if they spent enough time might be able to make some decent software but this is not the same for hardware
i don't actually think that there would be any imports. Unless you get something in the game, besides being allowed to play. But the imports wouldn't include any of those things. It's only a minor of mine so i might not know what im talking about. I do stare at the teacher in a haze sometimes but sometimes not. He uses beers from around the world for all his examples.
I live in Chicago and I used to live at the far end of the Verizon Digital network just south of Chicago. Verizon is by far one of the best carriers around. Last year in the city the coverage was kinda week but I had an old phoone. I now managed to loose the old phone and get a new that seems to work perfectly. I get the best reception of anyojne I know.
I think this program would be great. Currently this is no real way of providing "regular" interent access such as web browsing. This service would seem to provide decent dl rates for those who don't find 14.4 kbs acceptable.
I would also think that this would work rather well with the Kyocera/Palm phones Verizon offers here. I am not aware if these phones have interent access presently, I would assume not being they are b&w. I would think Phone/palm combinations in color would be a huge hit with there ability to be a palm phone and web browser. I would also think that anything over 100kb/s would also suit most people needs. That seems to be a decent web browsing speed as long as you don't feel the need to try and run a direct connect hub from your palm.
Do you know what you just said you want to use GPS to find things in your tool shed. You sir are a tool. You must be the laziest and dumbest person on earth.
WEll if you have read the story a few days ago about the guy who just wanted a supercomputer for christmas you would have read that he got his inspiration from those people in kentucky. For those of you who that isn't specific enough for the people from kentucky built a supercompturer out of like 64 athalons and it is ranked in the top 200 in the worlds for processor power. It was also said to be as fast as what cray was selling as there top model in 98. So if a college in kentucky can get the parts and make a supercompturer one would not doubt a country like china's ability. So as long as you can string a bunch of everday processors together and get a supercomputer I don't see the need for the ban at all. Except the fact that China is a one of the worst violators of human rights on the planet and is able to take anything good and use it for bad. So I'd love to help China by giving it the ability to aquire the same supercomptuter that a U.S. company could but I have to say to myself will it help the grow out of the economic problems they have or will it be used for evil.
I don't feel this deserves to be moded as "Flamebait". He odviously is making some unfounded claims but he does make some interesting founded claims. Also if this was reversed and was anti-windows then you wouldn't say anything. Plus i doubt this being a plant. He is defending other *nix.
Plasma screens are the best for picture quality. They are really coming down in price lately also. Try looking at the NEC's. They support 1080i and 720p. I'd recommend getting a satellite for the HDTV though. Make sure you also get one that supports 720p it's much better than the 1080i. If you are looking for a good deal on a plasma try PlasmaOne.com
they will give you a good deal and can give you some more information about HDTV.
first i don't agree with it but i might be able to see a situation were someone would get really pissed and then stomp on a box. This is still fucked up though. Don't do that shit. Next, why are boxes dropping from three stories. At no point do i think that my box should be 3 stories up in the air. Why is a box three stories in the air. Air you dropping it out of buildings? WHY? Just stop no more dropping box from 3 stories.
don't you sleep charge the battery then. don't be so lazy. im sure they have electricity in tokyo. bring an adapter if the port is different. sleep = charging of battery. im not sure if bsd is going to work with a transmeta crusoe but if you can live with linux then you might like a Fujitsu P series it has been getting great reviews, weighs 3.5 pounds or something like that, it is supposed to work well with linux, and you can get it with a battery that lasts 7 hours plus if you get the docking station it can last up to 14 so learn to charge you battery
I've never been to Tokyo but im sure they have electricity. You might need an adapter but you can afford that with the thousands you save buy buying something a little more common. As far as the week long battery goes don't you sleep. This is a great time to recharge the battery, really it is. If you want something small, getting great reviews, supposedly good with linux, and 7 hour battery life try the fujitsu p series
i am also glad that Mandy and crew, Brett, and good old Lloyd won't have to get all those tattoes. if they all had to put down all the information about the customers who use nix. they would probably be getting a little more than there asses tattoed.
i would like to add and kind of remind those who read my previous reply. MICROSOFT DOESN'T USE JUST INTEL AND IT'S OWN PRODUCTS. This is kinda funny. I'm all for the microsoft sales people saying that they need to hunt down all the linux users and make them convert. That is business and Microsoft knows very well how to do it. But maybe they should first start with there own IS department. Last time I was told Microsoft runs www.microsoft.com with apache and unix or something like that. This is certainly not IIS and Intel. So before you let something like this letter leak make sure that you are practicing what you preach.
The thing you have to remmber is that there is more to a Linux implementation than the software being free. Great is cost nothing for licenses. Most will also agree that is usually faster and probably wins the award for stability and uptime. But the problem is people. People are expensive. In America good techs go for good prices. Lunix is a very indepth and detailed system were the limits are only what you want to add to it. But with this comes a price tag. We live in an age were people laugh at the MCSE and praise the ability of Unix sysadmin. Windows people comes cheap and at times Windows is a lot easier to use to get something up and running. Windows has made there way by making things simple for you, grandma, and everyone under the SUN. With this ease sometimes and even many times it is cheaper when you figure in the people.
Next is migration. Everything isn't as neat as the ibm commercial were they put every thing into one linux box in the corner. This would usually only be the case with a really old system were replacing it would save you tons becasue you wouldn't have to pay out for the countless repairs needed by the old system. If you put in a windows based systme a couple of years ago now may not be the time for a total upheaval to a linux system. Give it some time. Things get outdated fast and maybe in five or ten years you can put that three of four year old system in a PDA. But if you all your guys know is windows they sure aren't going to have a clue what the fuck to do with linux and that is going to result in some serious downtime. Teach them, make them learn, even pay for some formal certifaction or training. The thing is the right now linux isn't always the clear cut best systme of choice. Don't get me wrong linux is great and will only better. One of the better things about it is that it will make Macrosoft get off it's ass and possbily just possibly fix there stuff and make it better. If microsoft wants to sell there stuff with a pricetag fine but there better be a damn good reason for. Linux will only conitinue to make itself stronger and easier to use and Microsoft will have to keep up or die.
I would be down with something around a quarter. Now that morpheus is possibly the worst functioning software I have ever had to use I would be really cool with paying a quarter so that I could dl at like 50kB/s. If they can do that I am there.

i live in chicago and it's the same for me they rape us for the phone. you have to buy the package and it't like 40 or something

VNC works pretty well. It's free and it runs pretty well. I'm not sure how secure it is but im sure it can't be to much worse than IIS.
the new doom game is supposed to be and it will supposedly run uber great on a dual processor

it is definetly not XBill that game is only good for like 13.4563 minutes and that is it. NOT a microsecond more.
WOW. That isn't needed or going to sell. Slow down or maybe just stop.

playing four games boys isn't to bad
that is a very good point
