They deserve kudos for allowing somone to post a security breach that they are patching (Remember that story about NVidia loosing money due to the chip changes MS were demanding..)
They don't need to waste money taking him down is all..
Gah; because he's a Brit! Most of you lot came from Europe, and you were the ones who changed the number system to make one thousand million into a billion, instead of the proper deffinition which goes in line with how the rest of math is worked - One Million Million = One Billion
Worrying that it was the first thing to come to your mind when he said beaches and females.. Do you think of pedophilia often?

No; considering that it's games that are driving the graphics market forwards; we need proformance to make Doom 3 run at 100 fps; MS word on the other hand......
And what about the costs of the suppliers? How much did the guy who served you and the 150 other people who got those files from him pay?
And what about the Kazaa users who are too stupid to know about the whole sharing thing, and leave it in there systray, not knowing it's not dead and sharing half a dozen movies, and a dozen mp3 albums..
Could get nasty

Wakey wakey.. Whats in it? 2nd one down.. Network Adapter..
Okay, now I just rip the lid off this thing, and hrm... No space for the new 120Gb hdd I just got, ARG! NO AGP SLOT?! My new GF4 can't be installed?!?! Where'd I.. Sod it, I'm going back to a desktop!
Somone seeing how fat your ass is on the phone? Hrm.. Sorry, that sounds remarkabally like 3G - Oh, what you say? It's already released in Japan?
Nanotechnology has always fasinated me, at 12 I was signed up for many mailing lists on the subject, yes I can see aplications, but no, I do not think we are anywhere near creating something so complex yet - Emphasis on yet.. See your fat ass on the phone analogy..
Jeez people; the US is not perfect.. This is not an anti-US comment, merely a point.. Look at the disasters NASA has had.. Ya know, big boom, dead astronouts?
Just because it came from the US, doesn't mean it's automatically gonna be flawless.. Maby it wasn't a perfect design, maby it got damaged in transit, who knows..
A good market for this could be security.
Combine a HMD with some form of wearable PDA or 'small' laptop (It doesn't need to be anything high tech, a secure strap/backpack), set it up with wireless networking and you could beam images from security cameras to the users sunglasses/goggles.
A 'button', 'pad' or custom trackball style device could be used to navigate between cameras. This would be a niche market admittedly, but I'm sure various uses could be thought of for such a device..
Open for thoughts..

Guns have alternative and legitimate uses.. Game hunting, sport shooting, self defense, etc..
Cigerettes, well, you smoke them.. Smoking them means your going to suffer the health issues..
Bad Analogy
Go outside? What kind of geek are you?
Besides.. In the real world I've heard they don't appreciate the whole rocket launcher/nailgun/shotgun's going off left right and center thing...
Look at this cool Sun server that costs several million, look at this head mounted display, etc, etc..
Got several million dollars handy? No? Didn't think so.. Shut up already
