  1. MS scan tool does NOT work on known threats. on Microsoft AntiSpyware thinks Firefox is Spyware · · Score: 1

The other day at work, I was using a phone near a computer workstation running XP. It seems it had just received the update that installs the spyware scan tool because the final popup was on the screen saying "Windows blah bla tool has scanned your computer and found 0 threats" Oh really? I thought... I had installed SpyBot S&D on this machine a couple months ago. The user wasn't around so I scanned the system with it. It found 37 threats. So much for MS's attempt. As is usually the case, too little too late.

  2. Is Google bound in some way to show these??? on Google Censors Abu Ghraib Images [updated] · · Score: 1

What law is Google bound to when it comes to content? Are they some on high entity that must answer to us in any way we ask? Hell no! They are a FREE ENTERPRIZE engaging in a business. They can run it however thay choose. The fact that one can find these images else where makes this whole subject a joke. Let's all pick on Google day! I too loathe another 4 years of Bush and his cronnies. *sigh* Are they to blame? Perhaps. Perhaps Google has done this motivated by Bush's favorite tool... FEAR! Seems to be evident by some of these posts as well...

Agreed. I've used them in just this way for 2 years now without a glitch. Yes I moght be a bit annoyed if I was in the midst of a trasfer and everything crashed, but hey, that's the risk I signed on for in there lil agreement. It ain't a perfect world. Cover your ass!

  4. Crossing over... on Astronaut Gordon 'Gordo' Cooper, 1927-2004 · · Score: 1

You've got to think, at least I do, that he may have known exactly where he was going in his last moments. Anyone that has gone into orbit, is somehow changed I think in that they have viewed our blue marble from afar, and after that... well this earthly plane must seem a bit restricted. Good Journey Gordo

  5. Keeping it to ourselves... on U.S. Cancels Fusion Program · · Score: 1

I see it like this. We (USA) claim that we're scraping our program as we continue the research we've already started but in secret. Then we always keep that edge to hold over the rest of the world so we can get our way. *sigh Oh and to make it look good we join an international effort so we look good in the eyes of the science world. Of course, I could be wrong.

HEY!!! It's story telling!!!! Use your friggin imagination to fill in the blanks, not an entire rewrite of everything!!! get a grip... I still say it sucked

  7. Stop defending a shit movie! on The Empire Stumbles · · Score: 1

Goodness me!! What the hell is up with George "do no wrong" Lucas. All you people that defend this piece of crap are just yearning for your youth and hanging out too see a movie 15 times. Yea I was right there doin that shit too. I think I paid to see it like 5 times. I was so enthralled by Star Wars, episode 4, (shit now I gotta add that tag line to avoid confusion) I loved it! It was new and fresh and it had a few heroes to get behind and it was visually stunning!!! I mean this was done with FILM. Yes celluloid with a silver emulsion that ya had to manipulate in the physical plane. OK. All you programmers are saying "yea but it's easier with a computer" Yes it is, but when a movie falls back on "well the special effects were cool" well ya might as well go to the amusement park, alone. Yes movies are like that, they take us on a ride but they have a story AND DIALOGUE that we can get behind. Without a good script to guide us AND the characters through the story, we're just lost and left with a basket full of pretty colored objects.

What the hell was Jar Jar doing in the senate? What qualified him to "stand in?

How does a lad like "Annie" make it this far in the training when he has NO control over his emotions?

His drolling attitude toward Amidala is pathetic and contrived. He's like, about to just break down in her presence and just weep at her feet. It's a lame portrayal.

    Yoda's scene was too short.

    Best line in the movie?
"Why do I get the feeling that you shall be the death of me?" Obi to Annie hehehe cool.

It sucked George, I'm sorry but YOU could have done better. I sure do hope that this was just some scaffolding for the next movie, which by the way COULD be your masterwork if you do it right.

Hey I'm glad they posted it twice. I missed it the first time. "The sharpie is mightier than the data track!" I just love it when low tech defeats high tech. The whole system is in for a complete overhaul.
