Slience? Human ears are crappy compare to other ears. If you hear nothing, that doesn't mean it doesn't have any sound, it just means that your ears can't pick up those frequencies.
So what is slience here? nothing nothing, or nothing for humans?
I heard from somewhere that absoulte slience could drive people insane, may be we could shove that gun and his lawyer to try that out:)
With 33cents a minute, who on earth would try to make a call unless it's absolutely necessary? problems with US and Canadian wirless are:
1) Cost - If calls are cheap enough, then more and more people will have phones. 2) Availability - If it's cheap enough, more people would have cellphones with them then I might need one too (domino effect) 3) Cheaper data services, more flexable service plans etc. might help too.
I think IA-64 should been seen as a long term investment for Intel, it's a good piece of technology (well, at least it was expensive) and it's just not up for prime yet.
x86-64 on the other hand, is a good solution for today's demand.
So who will have an upper hand 5 years from now? probably intel, but who knows, Ghz sells.
Ok, I am from Canada, wireless here is just as bad.
One of the main reason why Japan and other countries in the world today have better wireless technology is because of the fact that the landline is way too expensive
For example in Japan, you still have to pay by the minute for LOCAL call from landlines!
USA is too big and landlines are cheap, that's why it take a lot of incentives for the mass to get wireless.
that record companies will sue Napster's ass off then buy them back so that they will have a brand name + infustcture (sp) for their own music distrubition channel?
yeah, I am holding and refuse to upgrade my main box (Orginal Athlon1Ghz) till hammer and presscot next year.
Same thing with graphics cards, there is no reason for me to upgrade my GF3 until it gives more than 10FPS increase in games.
we need a killerapp for all these power.

Blah... Don't you get it, the site used FreeBSD on purpose, "We have a way out" means that they have a way out of Windows. They are still working on the site so that they could put more information on FreeBSD and Apache. It's out fault that we went to the site too early while Microsoft's FrontPage experts are working hard to produce a state of the art website.
As more competition arise, ISP will be forced to lower prices to stay competitive. SO who will get scrweed at the end? Technies like us, who knows that 300k/sec @ 40 bucks a pop is far better than 50k/sec at 30 bucks a pop.
You know guys, more competition means crappier services for all of us.
The plot is suppose to be about how agent became a virus and keep getting mutlipied.
Although I probably like yours better though.
Can't we just renew earth like how you renew a book from a library?
Nothing to worry about, really.
Um... Why are you being such a troll
Microsoft has already have a TiVo like system, it's called the Ultimate TV.
So until next time, please don't start the trolling and stupid MS bashing until you get all the facts straight

no, I live in Canada.
sucks eh?

Sure the feature sucks, but I am even willing to look past that, but that I don't like is the price of the calls in US and Canada.
Until they could lower the prices down to penny/minute, I just don't see how wireless will ever take off here.
Hey, if it's cheap enough, people will be using the cell phone whereever they are without worrying about the cost of the call.
Thanks Mr. Gryffin.
Emm... Will this be on the exam?
Yeah I gotta agree, but then again, superior product doesn't ncessarly mean a sucessful company, (ex apple)

what's up with your trollish comments on MS FS
/.
Microsoft's flight simulator is one of the best simulator you could get right now, it's a decent product to say the least.
so sick of you anti-ms trolls... but then again, it's
According to nvnews.net it will be around 20-30% faster than GF4 Ti4600.
But that's rumor + prereleased drivers.
so probably ending up with 50%+ performance, proabably not enough to murder the next cards from NVIDIA and ATi
The quality is so bad that it's not even funny
Don't be cheap, go pay $8 and watch it.
It would really spoil the whole thing when you are trying to tell people apart...
Why don't you guys try to use Firewall to block all the traffics except HTTP/SMTP/POP
I know that won't solve all the problems, but at least it's the first step
Mirror
Don't worry about it, that extra 64MB does next to nothing (ex speed increase)
you will have to wait a while for games to take advantage of those extra RAM, but by then, you would be drooling for something better.
RAM is cheap, ATi and NIVIDA just put more RAM so people would upgrade.

That's my theory anyways.
Does Canada have a similar law regarding to this as well?
By replicating an exact simulation of pervious denotation of course.

I am sorry, why should I pay extra for this when I could build this myself?
The only hard thing here is to connect the LCD screen, which isn't all that hard anyways.
This is nice and all, I am looking for something smaller and not made by some highschool kids in their basement.
Yeah, MPEG encoding is a big thing right now but it's not as compelling for me. I agree, doing VDub on my box is a pain.
:)

Dude, it's running windows, what happens when you give you a blue screen?
