    We had this for a while now, I've seen an alarm clock type clock (haha) that syncs with the atomic clock automatically without subscription nor internet connection. I think it uses radio to sync up the time

    Does the US government boardcast the atomic time in airwaves? if so this might work

    I think the government (mainly NSA) had always had the upper hands in terms of encryption no matter how good it is. 1024 is probably nothing for those supercomputers and holes in various OS.

    It has always been this way.

    MP is XP with more testings.

    Just like Xeons to the P4s, the core is the same, but Intel does more testing to the CPU and varous power protection (which is why there are more pins).

    There was just an article about Hong Kong using smartcards as ID, this is quite sad.

    What about special Smart Card? like a dual chip smart card which requires a special reader/writer?

    I know that's probably gonna raise the cost but at least it beats fake IDs.

    One of the biggest problem with NASA is the lack of marketing department.

    The government should have a marketing department, it shall be called Department of General Education.

    Instead of calling "nuclear powered rockets", we should call it, Next Generation U235 Fission Based Rocket System.

    This network is pretty crappy IMO, I know CNN is pretty bias these days but at least it beats anything else out there.

    For uni systems, Athlon has a good platform with an excellent processors but for those who wants to get two CPU based system, Xeon is still the only game in town.

    You've gotta understand, this is the first time AMD made its own 2x chipset. Intel has been doing this for a long time and stability is just great.

    Oh, another thing oh the hyperthreading thing, seems like it offers fairly good perfomance to programs that take use of SMP, stuff like 3dmax. It's not 4CPU for the price of two, but it's probably 3CPU for the price of two.

    I saw this on CNN, to summary this:

    1) Elders are likely to take a nap, but the research only counts the #hrs you have slept during nights which doesn't include the afternoon naps

    2) Bottom line, lack of sleep is not good for your health, so if you need sleep, sleep but oversleeping might not help you

    3) Lack of sleep will get higher your chances getting heart dieases and diabetes.

    All the Pentium 4 ALUs are double pumped, that means a Pentium 4 running at 2.2 Ghz's ALU is running at 4.4Ghz.

    And you are still wondering why Pentium 4 is still slower than the Athlon (or awfully close)

    Imagine what would happen if the ALU is only running at the same speed as the CPU.

    Personally, Intel is losing little ground at a time right now, but remember, Intel can afford to make a couple of mistakes but AMD can't even afford to make on. One mistake will push AMD back to the bottom, again.

    Yeah, it's kind of weird, but I doubt seeing the true usefulness of a intergrated cell unit in a CPU. I mean, is the chip going to support all the network or just one? so are yout tell me that instead of using those space for better performance or leaving it out to save power and cost, my laptop's cell would only work in NA.

    But they might ultimately intergrate 802.11 into the CPU that would really make this community WLAN thing fly, imagine every device has 802.11, oh yeah.

    I know it's probably gonna be a while until this actually would happen as big a**(TM) servers are still the way to go for super performance.

    This would probably force the big server makers to bring more innovation to the lineups and lowering the price.

    So at the end, Linux gains more marketshares, Windows gets even less in the server market and probably lower TOC for those big servers.

    One of the biggest problem with investing theses days is the fact that everyone are doing it. That's right, everyone, like your everyday AOLer and MSNer.

    And if you haven't figure out already, there are tons of AOLers out there, those who lack IQ and are willing to believe whatever someone says even though it sounds too good to be true.

    Then you ask, dude, these scams are so old, you would be suprised people will fall on anything.

    Believe it or not, the economy depends on these AOLers, and it is the government's interest to protect and educate those who lack intelligance.

    It's extremely hard to calculate GDP of EQ, the formula for calculating GDP is:

    GDP = C + I + G + (EX-IM)

    Where

    Consumption (C)
    Investment (I)
    Government (G)
    Net Exports (EX-IM)

    Seriously though, I have a Palm m505, E-125 PPC, a Sony CLIE, I still think Palm is a better machine with good form factors. PocketPC is nice but MIPS is so f****ing slow that you cannot use any of those organizier functions in real time.

    Tero is great, but I think m505+bluetooth + bluetooth enabled phones would be better than anything else out there. Let's hope Bluetooth based phones will be really cheap this year.

    Indeed, one of the main reason with 802.11b is spreading like wildfire is the cost, you can get a complete setup for around 300 bucks.

    Coolness sell, but only when their price range is accpectable.

    Price must come down where services are cheap enough (like a penny a mintue) in order for it to strive.

    I guess we will just have to wait since I like wireless, but it's useless when nobody has it or uses it.

    The new palm thingy you speak of is called i705, it's not colored, it's a replacement for the Palm VII. It offers cheaper wireless access, always on email and instant messenging.

    Not the fact that mainstream press went along with this fake crap of his but really discredit those who have been trying to do serious research at this subject.

    Now when anyone mentions cold fusion or free energy, people would just laugh their asses off.

    If people spend more time on serious research and less on stupid prank, may be cold fusion might be accpected as one of the possible technology to replace today's fossil fuels.
