Besides the legal issues when I watch a movie I would like to know if any sort of adaptation was made.
But I fear that no editor would put a "we reedited the movie because we are better than directors and censorship in deciding what you should see" sticker on it.
I'm walking down the streets and at some corners bandwidth happens to be available... so what? If the bandwidth owner would defend "theirs properties" they would simply put some access restriction to their wi-lans, it isn't?
Besides that, why is Nokia worrying about other companies properties? Do they fear that a world covered of harmless wi-lans would cut off the use of theirs extremely expensive and high radiating cell phones?
Everybody want money

=> internauts want fun as well as money
=> internauts want fun without paying (or at bargain price)
=> Internet surfin isn't that big fun
=> internauts want something else

=> no p2p = no need 4 broadband
=> no cash 4 ISP

Where our beloved ex-monopoly telecom company delayed the introduction of DSL 'til last year "in order to protect the massive investment done in ISDN"...
I work in a big company and last week I was trained on a obscure, buggy and almost unusable proprietary soft.
The trainer knowed all the menues eintries of the soft but was unable to provide all the technical information I requested (typical answers were "this is useless for you", "You don't have the right to know that").
Today I got a call from the trainer, she was very very very worried because she forgot to delete the powerpoint files and the examples she used during the training and she asked me to delete it (of course I did it, I don't like to fill my HD with low quality information).
Does this training worth the thousand $ it costed, don't think so, but 'til now no one asked me a feedback.
1) Is RIAA holding any right outside US?
2) If RIAA starts attacking people, maybe people would start to react, and with millions of enemies around the net I wouldn't be the one in charge of net security by RIAA
3) If it's possible to block P2P why still it working (with all the people writing viruses "jsut for fun", I could hardly believe that there's no one wanting to freak out millions of internauts at the same time)
Traditionally movies are released in summer in US and in fall/winter in Europe.
Maybe at the beginning there was some translation issues, but now that movies movies are released in english (at least in north europe) I think that's because now people are are accustomed to see major releases in winter (in particular in the pre Christmas period).

After playing there could be a compressed movie of your game play saved on your HD. On a reasonably fast machine you could actually record your game play digitally to your DV camcorder as you play or even compress and burn it to a Video CD or DVD at the same time you are actually playing.
Maybe I'm missing something, but why should be so vital to write on HD the output of your Video Card?
GPU are widely diffused goods, so it would be enough to save the meta information needed to recreate the images, send them, and let my friends own video cards recreate the images of me fragging around the enemies.
Beside that to save 50 fps at 1600x1200x32 (about 7mb pro frame uncompressed) 350mb/s are needed, even with a compression ratio of 1/350 (possible) that would mean no more than 10 minutes on a cd.
But a cell phone with a little Mac look and feel could be a massive hit. Til now only Nokia developed its prouct line with a little coherence in what is design and interface, the others changed radically all the ui paradigms and the look many, many times.
Perl is the expression of a comunity so an eletronic form with daily news/articles/forums it's more appropriate; of course you can't put a eZine on the tea table, showing your hosts that you're really involved on the tech thing, but that's are luxuries not real needs.
When using a PC you have another feeling about the Hardware getting old, you start doing continously hardware upgrade, your PC's case is constantly open, and at last your computer costed you, month after month, like a little yacht or a Rolex... but you still have that feeling that you made a very clever buy not like your pars that have to buy a new Mac each three or four years...
I hope this wouldn't affect the McCaw's OneWorld that's now partecipating to the America's Cup ; )
KDE license allows you to pick the code change it as you want end release your new version as long as you release the source code with it.
KDE code don't belong to KDE.ORG, it's free software after all.

Don't be so skeptical or you'll lose too much fun, you're that kind of person who wouldn't even believe to snake oil :)
I want to believe
It seems so altough w3 offer a validator for free.
Maybe learning html in a weekend or in faster don't help keeping the quality of code at high level ; )

In fact the population of USA is less than 5% of the world, but USA is farely the most and better wired country in the world.
Living in a technounderdeveloped european country where watching movies on the net will remain a non-issue for longtime, I know what I'm saying ; )

Just a pair of issues I'm thinking about

so it is a 400% increase ; )
They're just three iteration far from reaking heaven

The price still interesting even with merely two macs in the housold, and it couldn't be otherwise; how many family owns 5 jaguar-compatible-macs?

I'm just wondering at what a speed would these planes land and how long must a slope be to allow a non catastrofic landing.
If I'm not wrong shuttles land on slopes of 15 km, but they're much faster than mach 7
