    Being sued and losing are 2 different events. Myself id tell the government to go f-themselves and close my business if they ( or a union ) even attempted to play hardball. its MY business, not theirs and i don't NEED the money, but I'm sure they need the tax revenue....

    Apple could fire them all and replace them in this economy but eventually the consumers would take note of it as well.

    Not enough to make a larger difference in the bottom line that allowing the union in might cause. Today's unions have been known to bankrupt companies once they get on site. I have seen it myself. Somewhat counter productive if you ask me.

    Since when do part timers even get to talk about unions in the first place? Furthermore, you can 'unionize' all you want but the company you work for doesn't have to listen to you, or continue your employment.

    I'm sure they didn't think far enough ahead and thought it would be no big deal for Oracle to have it.

    Of cousre Oracle has been in the business of screwing people for a long time so their interest in SUN should have been the first clue bad things were possible.

    If you are distributor they can. if you buy them in bulk at a discount from apple, they can. if you get them at retail, no, they cant.

    They can also restrict how their trademark is used, regardless of how you got it, or what you want to do with it. ( may not be good business, but its their right as the trademark holder )

    Right, it only proves that stupid people also can use a Mac. Blindly hitting 'ok' and installing 'bad stuff' is not a system problem, its a user education problem. It doesn't matter what OS you are running, if it allows any user installation of applications at all this is a risk..

    But then again, its more fun for some to bash than it is to use logic.
