If that wasn't a death kiss, nothing is. As i predicted, in 2 years flash will be a distant ( bad ) memory. And its Adobe's own damned fault really, they had the market, but threw it away by being pig headed.
If they do make this move, it will kill the desktop where people are used to more control. In the phone market, i can see why its this way, and people are used to it. ( at least the ones that think rationally.. ). But extend this to the desktop/portable you can kiss the market good bye.
If not banning Windows, they should create a Chase-branded native Windows software client for their customers to use so they don't use a browser at all.
You do lose some ( ok, most ) freedoms while serving your country, and with the risks involved in 'blog activity' i don't really see a big deal with restricting it.
Its the same people that say only terrorists need to encrypt, or only pirates use P2P. And that internet porn is the greatest risk to the world since sliced bread.
You may feel strongly enough to act, but are you willing to die? Ok, you are, but what about your families? In some cases that is what this will cause, fatal retribution ( or financial, burn your house, your parents house.. ). *Forcing* people to publish their name is wrong, giving them the option is ok.
This is a bad thing and will only increase government power as people will be afraid to act.
That is a problem right there if you are wanting to boot from the infected drive THEN test.. If you can boot off the USB too, why not just boot off USB, then connect/share via SMB to a machine in your shop that has all the scanning stuff and do it from there?
Where is the app for that? (tm)
What world do you live in? In my world they are dropping unlimited data plans ( both wired and wireless ) like hot potatoes.

But they may not be apple branded trucks.

And as an apple fan, id be jumping ship too.

Or send out OS boot cds :)
Those with no decision power CAN escalate it up the food chain to someone that does.
Legally, you are right. But what is 300 bucks to a multi-billion dollar company? They can afford to have a bit of a heart.
Or they felt they were not competent enough on their own yet, and calling it quits was(is) better then a long drawn out death.

Can blog all you want when you get home.
*yawn*
There are too many now, adding even more just dilutes things further and makes it harder for the consumer.

No, the problem already exists. its called freedom. The solution involves removing it.
Been saying this would happen for over a decade now. Everyone called me nuts. I really hate being proven correct in these sorts of things :(
Or the person at Amazon that knew what he was doing, and pulled it off anyway?
Doesn't mean you wont spend the rest of your life in a box. You might be 'right', but was it worth it?
When you have a cap? ( or worse cap + overage charge ) It just means you get there faster.
Of course they have these abilities. That should go without saying.
Well of course they are dropping it, they can charge their users more this way. Sounds like every other 'data provider' out there.
But when the golden goose is long since dead and cooked, they will wonder where all their customers went and why no one gets online anymore.
This is what we are witnessing. And its going out with applause and support. :(

Even if they win and oulawed 'copyleft', forcing everyone to use 'copyright', its still MY work, and i can choose to give it away if i want..
Twitter will be barred for 20 years from misleading consumers
Ummm shouldn't that be a given? Why only 20 years? Why is it even in question?
You are kidding, right?
