If you are posting your location in real time on some web page, its your own damned fault if you get robbed.
As far as subpoenaing the info, what is he point of complaining? They could just have a PI tail you and have that entered into the court records. If you are doing something wrong and it involves location, how about turn it off before you go?
I use RDP across wifi ( B.. not N, not even G ) all the time to remotely access my desktop at the office ( or published apps ) and don't see a problem. Haven't tried 3G yet so you may be right there.
That's why companies like VMware or VirtualBox stepped up and filled the void when Apple went to commodity chips.
Offering an RDP client ( or freeNX or X.. VNC... whatever ) and calling it something new and acting like they invented it sounds like Microsoft.. If they DIDN'T offer it id be concerned.
vPro is a totally different tech, and i have seen routers being a 'proxy' of sorts. We have also done custom work where a single PC on a subnet serves as the initiator of the WOL from a remote location.
I just don't see anything new here, and them trying to take credit is just wrong.
1 - Restate 'we did notify' that they were going to capture data available to any passing car 2 - Admit perhaps it wasn't the best notification process out there 3 - Apologize for #2 "we will do better next time" 4 - Move on and keep the 'google trucks' moving
I hope never. I know *I* will fight it to the end. Computers do have their place, but sticking one in every nook and cranny 'just beacuse' is irresponsible.
Apple is acting worse than Microsoft has ever done. The have developers jumping through hoops.
/p>
Try developing for a windows mobile and you will find its not all that much different. Remember this is not the desktop world we are talking about which is totally open.. This is the cellphone market, traditionally somewhat closed, for good reasons.
I have no sympathy for our lazy homeowners who don't want to take the time to understand exactly what that magic box does, and now are mad at Google..
For most its not being lazy, its lack of knowledge/understanding. Just beacuse YOU think its transparent doesn't mean it is to someone else. There are plenty of things others think that are 'simple as pie' to understand that you would be totally clueless about.
Put out cool new devices that will finally use the bandwidth we have been paying for all this time, and the phone companies freak out and limit us. A lot like the cable companies are doing too. They remind me of drug dealers.
Because the chances of them seeing one out in the business world at this point is pretty slim. ( and for the same reason i question the choice of Apple.. )
Learning about technology is important in the modern world, but is it really necessary to require the students to focus on ONE vendor?
Hey, I have been an Apple fan from the days of the Apple I, but id still be pissed if my kids school was going to go down the path of single vendor teaching.
Shouldn't this completely insane request prove to the court that the entire process is out of whack and have it all tossed out and the judgment be used to kill off all other pending suits?
While true it doesn't mean that the overall cost wont still rise over time. In fact, it will mean a slow up creep as everyone price to manufacture increases.

Cool.
That was the implication of the story summary, so you sir can go to hell with your accusations.
Tho it appears there is still no windows server. Gonna need that before its a viable solution.

It can if your network team allows it.
Ok, not quite the 80's but haven't they heard of WOL or vPro? Since they were part of both you would think so...
If he cant see out of it, how is it considered bionic? Shoving a camera in your eye socket is no different then wearing one around your neck really.
And 800,000 people would get a job where they are moving to..
I've always thought it was the lange changes and sudden maneuvers that cause the most problems in traffic.
"Merging" seems to be the biggest problem in my area. ( yes its a form of lane changes, but in theory, 'controlled' )

So does this mean Python is in our future?

The WTO will hear about it and propose sanctions.

Bastards.
Where are my mod points when i need them.. i agree 100%
Why not Netbooks with Linux?

What next, shooting french fries at passing motorists?
Yes.
