    Software is the least of your problems with older hardware.

    What is with this sudden desire to compare apples to oranges? I love my retro machines more then most people, but i don't run around comparing an 8 bit device to a modern 64bit laptop..

    If you just have to compare, at least use something like an Atari ST or Amiga which would have similar features ( or even better a STbook ).

    Once you get used to virtualization of your resources, clouds become 2nd nature and will open up to use by traditional businesses.

    When you have to have a fully running infrastructure, the little guy has no real chance of competing on the 'service' side of clouds.

    Now, competing on what you run ON ( or under ) the "cloud", OSS can still be relevant.

    for 500 i agree.

    For less i disagree. The kindle is great for what its designed to. For someone that doenst like reading on the 'pc', i dont mind at all reading a book on a G1 kindle.

    And just for the record you DONT have to pay to read books on it. there are 10000's of legal free books you can put on there, even more if your morals are a bit 'grey'.

    Tho i have to admit that native PDF would be MUCH better.

    According to the US Supreme court, yes, *porn* is prohibited and has been for a while now. *Adult material* isn't. ( and they get to define which is which )
