But wait, i'm a comcast user... what is this 'usenet' you speak of?
All kidding aside, usenet isn't what it used to be, i don't know if it really is worth looking for something of value out there. Sad to say it, but its pretty much true.
Considering soon we will all be in line here in the US ( think bread lines ) it might be a rather important research project to prevent us common folk from causing 'issues'.
Of course that is after we are disarmed. cant have those pesky pheasants that can defend themselves can we?
Because a bunch of pretty ( and expensive ) graphics with pathetic game content does not qualify as a "good game", which is most of what has been coming out for YEARS.
You don't need, it as your technology is better then ours in the first place and your have your own bombs.
I see pagers in bulk at work all the time coming and going, try calling a sales rep instead of looking on the web pages.
Pagers will be a smaller profit item so they wont push them like the old days.
And i agree, 90% of the people on call need nothing more then a simple ( and cheap ) pager.
And time and time again, when they are unreasonable they have been struck down by the court.
While not knowing the full contact, i would venture its unreasonable and should also be struck down.
Restricting what you do AFTER you leave a company, is just plain wrong.
Except for developers what practical value will this be?
Ya, for about 5 minutes. The attention span of a typical user today is a 30 minute sitcom.
Give it a couple of weeks and people will forget it was even an option.

Mitch said it would be different. He wouldn't lie to us would he?
you didn't think we had free speech did you?
Silly comrade.
They are salivating while trying to make it work. Their MOLP"s are almost that and part of their core revenue stream.
Not our fault, bla bla bla its their fault bla bla bla.
nice to see corporations have the same problem with personal responsibility the rest of the world has.
ok ok, non-contextual spell check sucks :)

So are pockets, shoes... Florescent dyed hair..
*porn* is not protected by the first amendment. *adult films* are.
Not that i agree, but thats how the supreme court ruled long ago. Its why they have to have a plot ( however thin ) and a dialog ( however small )
Last iheard sex between 2 consenting adults was legal in this country, and so was talking about it.
This sounds like yet another nannystate issue where the government is sticking their nose where it does not belong.
My foot it is.
Or slashdot has no posts at all, since it will cost too much money to read it.
"Unlimited reasonable use"
You hope anyway. But when people are involved, mistakes do happen.
Thats ok, lint will pick that up when you compile it.
Part of the value-add of the security companies is they will monitor and verify the issue before they call the police/fire/etc.
In many areas, you will get fined for false-alarms. Or worse, they will just stop coming to your house.
No, they just are less afraid of piracy and have less $ to spend.
They don't really care if you have permission. What is in it for them to do their research?
