    Has nothing to do with people 'cheating' and not being able to get away with it now. It has all to do with the citizen's rights and freedoms.

    Got an alternative that is as powerful and easy to use? One that you can get results out of as fast, and publish the reports on a web for the managers? ( or schedule PDF exports )

    I am not saying Crystal is perfect mind you, but there are few alternatives that come close to it, aside from perhaps Cognos.

    Sorry, but as i said several times in this thread that in MY AREA it is illegal. ( and here its under 18, not 17 )

    It may not be the same across the entire country, I wouldnt know personally.

    I do feel it *should* be illegal across the entire country, children have zero business with this garbage. Really adults dont either, but then we do have a rights debate to contend with.

    Who you went to visit, what store you went too. Perhaps even notifying your insurance company, or opening a police investigation ticket if you happen to goto 'unapproved areas'.

    Might as well just ride a bus, with its cameras and metal detectors..

    If you read the ( original + amendments 1 thru 10 ) constitution closely, it only really applies to adult white males that own property.

    Children dont actually own property, therefore by default the rights in the constitution dont directly apply to them.

    And personally, I think a most of these games should be banned TOTALLY. But I'm willing to compromise and make it only children that cant get to them, ever. /end of thread

    Sure its not as wide spread as we all were told it would be, but its *nowhere* near dead.

    Its adoption is making slow progress, which is normally how technologies that are in it for the long haul happen.

    Around these parts, you have to be 18 or have parental approval to get R movies, legally.

    As it should be. Minors are NOT adults. Nor should they be treated as such.

    Well, violent movies are rated R today. This currently makes them illegal for a minor to get with out paraental intervention.

    I still see no difference. And expect the law to be applied equally, without having to resort to yet another law.

    I only used the porn reference as its pretty clear cut. But if you want to fall back on violence to prove my point, go ahead.

    Its illegal to sell porn to minors. Video game content should be treated no differently.

    Until you are an adult, your rights *are* limited. ( as they should be ).

    Sure, the concept of 'adult' is arbitrary, but you have to draw a line somewhere, its the law of averages that is used. ( anyone remember the bell curve? )

    Email isn't the problem, its supporting a collaborative groupware sort of thing..

    And is it really a problem? I do remember several open alternatives for this, such as Kolab, citadel, e-groupware, and many more..

    Tape will last longer then a DVD-R if taken care of.

    Actually, if the data is important id do both. 2 DVDs and keep the copies onsite, then a tape that is moved offsite to be stored *properly*.

    Sure, its a slow process to get your data back, but if you really, really, dont want to lose it..

    If you dont approve of being monitored by our government you must be evil.

    Therefore, if any encrypted traffic is detected from you that doesnt have the proper backdoor, you will be assumed guilty and sent directly to jail.

    Note: This is sarcasm. However, i can see us heading in that direction since they cant stop every little encryption project out there. Just make its very use illegal, and they wont have to worry about finding out content.
