Now, before everyone gets their panties in a bunch, they are simply moving forward with what they feel the customers ( the *real* customers, not us techinal people around here.. we arent even a blip on their radar ) want.
In time, this stuff will be mandated anyway, either directly or indirectly, so its not suprising nor does it matter much in the long run.
If you are sharing mp3/divX/etc, they are not an exact copy of the orginal.
They are a lesser qualty copy. with each part having 'meaning'. Ever listen to a audio clip? Or a part of a movie? They all have meaning on their own..
Yes, TS is great, but it wont help him on his Mac...
That means as time goes on, W2K will become more and more of a security risk.
But that is their plan, force people to 'upgrade', even when what you have does the job you need. Gotta milk the consumer for every dime.
Those crooks should have their money taken away from them.
That will kill most gamers and force them to upgrade.. Doubt they will be offering newer versions of that for W2K.
Already seen that with 98.. Wouldnt fly...
Before you go off on the people that 'have it wrong', keep in mind many were actually taught this way.
I have noticed this in several cases, where depending on where you grow up, and when, primary education teaches different versions of 'facts'.
Sad really, how the education system pushes their twisted agenda, quietly, over generations...
Was nice to have experienced freedom. Too bad our children wont get to do the same.
Beacuse they have the money to buy, and control, the government. ( and indirectly, the citizens )
'we the people' dont.
Are you always this full of useless information and bad manners?
You wont get arrested for refusing to carry the approved ID.
You will get detained once... And if you tell them to "FO" while in detention, you can be assured it wont happen again as you wont get released.
Legal? no.. but when you cant even call an attorney there isnt much you can do.
Even if they do release you eventually, they can still ruin you. No job, no credit, no house, no driving..
Remember that most people are sheep and just do as they are told.
So dont hold your breath on the revolt.. ( or the 2nd revolution here in this country )
Just walk outside of your house..
Go buy something...
Go for a drive..
Your privacy rights are already being exploited.

Our 'freedom to compute' is on borrowed time.
What sort of useless garbage is that? No functional review? No comments? Nothing?
If you choose your applications purely on 'eye-candy' value, you are an idiot.
Guess you are too damned ignorant to figure out the point i was trying to make.
Its a product ( being phased out as 2003 server is shipping ) that supports concurrent multi-user...
So did NT terminal server before that..
My windows machine is 2000. And since microsoft no longer supports me, i dont get any new features. ( or bugs ).
This isnt a 'me' post, there are a *lot* of people and businesses that have no plans to goto XP ( or server 2003 ) in the near future.
News Flash: BBC publishes gradeschool physics document...
Nothing news here...
Only problem is currently they are going after people who take that same song then share it to others.
They arent suing the person that is downloading that song...
Is that a fine line? No, i dont think so. They know they cant win a case against a downloader..

You seem to misunderstand, Of course *I* have the right to protect my work.
Others should not have the right to restrict *my* use of their work.
S*am

Annoying flood of email formerly known as a poor tasting potted meat product?
They should be given credit for sticking it to the man.
Screw the 'associations'. Screw the farce called 'copyright law'.
( now, making a profit off of sharing, then we have something to talk about. )
Depending on your criteria, google returns more then 50% of its reults as links to 'infringing' content.
Might make you feel better, but you dont make a dent..
The entire structure of copyright laws need to be revamped.
Of course i know that will never happen as long as the large corporations are in control of the government.
Not all ISP's allow relaying.
Also, some email servers reject mail thats been relayed from a different domain then its claiming to be ( antispam measure ).
