Its not like they are 'innovating' and risking it being copied as its just some lame eye candy that looks about like everything else.. Screen shots don't tell you anything about the system underneath..
At this stage in the game unless its a RADICAL departure from traditional GUI desktops, they are all about the same..
It's none of their business what is in my document when it crashed.. Or any other invasive data collection. ( like 'lets see what your software inventory is, and oh, what is that serial number )
What is next, 'auto suits' for suspected pirated files, much as 'traffic cameras' do now?
Oh, thats right, its to keep our sysetems stable.. its for the kids.. or some such nonsence.
Sure for some special applications this might be good, but for the average Joe running his email and an occasional spreadsheet why does it matter? What we have now vastly exceedes 99% of users needs now.
Except of course to help force people back into the upgrade cycle.
Is this the new requirment for getting funding for any project? " see it also can be used for homeland security ".. So can my damned shoes..
What a farce.
( oh, great project.. good work guys )

No, just if i had the choice id go dual hardware..
:)
Not that dual core is 'bad'... just relative preferences..
I realize the speed bump in the chip was small, but adding the 2nd chip would increase performance overall a great deal.. Which was my main angle.
And sure, dual core, dual cpu would be nice too
Its more then just a 'small' speed jump.
Id take a true dual cpu machine over dual 'core' any day.
If you think ANY search engine is 'fair' then you are nuts..
No law stating what has to show up in the results..
Sure its nice if they are honest and upfront, but they dont have to be.

Until they can go out and buy legislation like the big corporations.
Ok i was close on the name but not exact...
http://www.ecomstation.com/
It wont migrate across the ocean.. And it will get lobbied into oblivion anyway.
They sold it off to another company some time ago who currently supports it, and develops new versions.. ( estation, or somethign like that )
Unless something has changed in the last year or so..
Better watch it, you will be called paranoid.
While i agree with you, i think its a wash anyway, as the big comopanies have won the battle.
For me, when my 'media ddevices' go blank then im done with 'media'.
Will they miss my small contribution to their coffers? Nah.. but i wont miss them either..
I would think the public's status is more important then the content providers.
If your tv goes blank, spend time with your family instead..
Read a book..
Nope im much more hard core then the losers around here.
Today.. but in time it will become required ..
No, he was right. No one would ever *NEED* it.. ( though i bet he meant GB not MB. As back then Floppies were pushing 1 MB )
Anything more is just wasteful *WANT*.
I didnt say it was legal by todays corrupt standards, but its how i treat it. I act as i please.
No one else's rights are any of my concern.

"just beacuse" isnt a reason to do something.
Once it enters my house, under any circumstances, its mine to do with as i please.
At least for us that are already in the field.
Dont need any more snot-nosed graduates mucking up things out here in the real world.
Sure, mod me down, i dont care.
And most other times we typo.
Should have kept my old 32mb Rio..
Damned thing took almost as long to transfer as was the playtime..
Run your PC for a while, then stuck your tongue on it..
HD's do run hot.. And hot reduces lifespan.
Thought everyone did stuff like this when they wanted to keep their hardware a while..
But who would have known at the time he would turn on us? ( other then him )
Sometimes you have to take risks to get things done.. Sometimes you win, other times you loose.
