Are they sure they got the name right? If it were Justin Long http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Get_a_Mac I would not be at all surprised that Microsoft products mysteriously did not work!
Merom is a bit slower than Conroe due to the slower front side bus. I think the reason that they are not comonly found in desktops is that they cost more, and Conroe is fairly power efficient itself. For most people, saving 30W on the CPU just isn't worth it for a desktop.
Actually, the Core 2 Duo for laptops is code named "Merom" not "Conroe". "Conroe" is only for desktops. They are virtually identical except for power requirements.
Well how about just an external hard drive. I'm pretty sure Macs can read a FAT32 partition and windows XP certainly can (although for some reason you cannot format a drive as FAT32 with the built in tool).
So this thing weighs 10 tons. 83% of that is fuel so 8300 kg.
It has 15% extra fuel as reserve, so it will need an estimated 7000 kilograms.
Fuel has a density of around.83 Kg/L so this is 8400 L of fuel. The circumference of the earth is 40,000 km leading to a fuel efficiency of 21 L/100 km.
Or... in miles per gallon it would be 26000 miles/2200 gallons = 12 miles per gallon.
Not bad at all for a 10 ton craft (initially) that flies.
In fact, it beats the hummer and many SUV's.
My family owns a Toyota Prius (old model). We have gotten an average of 45-50 mpg combined city/hway driving which is slightly less than the claimed mileage.
The thing is that when my dad drives the car, the mileage seems to go up by a good 5 mpg on average so driving habits do appear to play a significant role. He claims the secret to high mileage is accelerating quickly and then coasting to allow the engine to shut down (the gasoline engine shuts down even at stop signs).
Can it compress 3d videos? That seems to be a real challenge.
http://www.noulakaz.net/weblog/2007/03/18/a-regular-expression-to-check-for-prime-numbers/ describes a way to use regex to check if a string contains a prime number of ones. /^(11+?)\1+$/
Here is the actual regex.
Ironically, this isn't even a "regular" (in the CS sense) language at all, which just shows how powerful regex really is.
You're forgetting that it was "combined with a form of fusion" too. It's not just human power.
Is this where Intel says "Fuck it we're doing 5 cores"? http://www.theonion.com/content/node/33930
2000 Gallon tank it says. So that's 2.5 miles per gallon on a 12 ton vessel. Given how fast it goes that's not bad.

I'll offer 2 to 1 that by this time next year, this industry will be even larger than the 12 billion it is now. Takers?
Thank you, I'll be here until Wednesday. Please tip your waitress.
This reminds me of a post on bbspot. "Test Shows 99.99% of High School Seniors Can't Read Perl" http://www.bbspot.com/News/2001/03/perl_test.html

According to top500.org, the fastest computer is an IBM Blue Gene/L with 280 TeraFlops. This Japanese team would have been #1 about a year ago.

Why is everyone thinking only of humanity? Think of the effect this will have on beer production.
