My children were molested by their own father, and the internet had nothing to do with it. Child molestation has been happening for hundreds, even thousands (probably) of years, far before the 'net came into existence.
I'm tired of everyone blaming things on the internet. There are, and have been forever, sickos all around us. The 'net has given them an outlet and a place to gather, but the problem was there before it came along.
My kids have a Leap Pad and a Leapster and both of these devices have proven to be notoriously unreliable, having mysterious faults and glitches that haven't been improved with subsequent versions of the products. Additionally, the Leapster goes through batteries with great haste.
The pen sounds interesting, but pardon me if I remain a little skeptical.

G4 Drops TechTV Name

After G4TechTV (or whatever it's going to be called) ruined the Screen Savers by getting rid of everyone who was entertaining and had actual knowledge, and replacing them with a bunch of good-looking young know-nothings, I stopped watching.
It is really too bad that they've ruined a perfectly good channel. There was so much potential to make it better but they just keep making it worse.
I have only been on LJ for a few months but I've found it to be a warm and welcoming community. I have found groups of people with similar concerns and interests as mine and have been able to get support, advice, and commiseration (and joking around of course) there.
The blog haters can just stay away, I guess. I find LJ to be a valuable resource.
Well, if LJ is purchased by Six Apart it would be nice if it were left alone, since it's just finally getting to be useable. It sounds like this is unlikely.
Also, it would be nice to see Brad Fitzpatrick confirm or deny this "news" on the LJ site.
...of Mountain View's Computer History Museum. I'm sure Chris would love to spend some time in Australia! He knows his stuff. And he obviously knows how to run a kick-ass museum.
Just don't use Yahoo Messenger. Most of the messages I get on there are come-ons from strangers, spam for webcams, and other stuff that I'd rather do without. Plus most of my contacts on there are on AIM or MSN Messenger.
I like Trillian a lot, but let's get real, this is no big loss.

Is there some authority who will take reports on those morons who paint the movie screen with laser pointers?

I'm tired of having to remember so many damned numbers.

My 8 year old can kick my ass as it is. Good thing he's not a mega-muscled freak.

Should I be ashamed to admit that I own a few of those CDs?
