    I've been doing the same, & the only problem I found was that I could only boot in safe mode with an nforce motherboard. KDE is looking good.

    I'll try it my wireless usb adaptor soon.

    This does not address the underlying problem. Synthetic Rock for securing nuclear waste has been around for decades.

    The problem is factoring in the cost of running a nuclear waste compound for 200,000 years, into the price of the electricity generated today by nuclear power.

    In Australia we have a numerous local wireless meshes that are being joined to make a mesh spanning a continent.

    The infrastructure you need included:
    - IP assignment policy across the continent
    - a node database that has a Geographical Information System to tell you where to point your antenna to find neighbouring nodes
    - local interest groups that help businesses & individuals go wireless & advocate at the local level

    Unfortunately the cheapest method of extracting hydrogen is via processing oil. Electrolysis costs more than cracking petroleum.

    Sorry, you are wrong. Tubes have significant THD (total hamonic distortion), but some people like the sound.

    Cheap opamps used in highend amplifiers and by hobbyists have a THD of 0.02%

    The only interesting proof ever discovered by computer was in ternary boolean algrbras.

    And the ONLY thing your computer can calculate are recursively enumerable sets which to be frank are boring.

    Abel's proof, and related proofs by Galois, have stood the test of time for 200 years. It would throw most of abstract algebra and modern mathematics on its head if true.

    No, the way to do that is to have a DNS server with small TTL (time to live) to switch IPs. Some cheap DNS Services allow you so set TTL, or you can run your own.

    You can rsync your own copy of the Gutenberg library. I used the Aarnet mirror as its closest to me and fast.

    Just be aware that the Gutenberg is some 135GB, and much of it is gif jpg and mp3 (spoken work books). So i just used --include in rsync to download the .txt .htm and .html files. Its a more manageable 10GB download.

    PHP was originally a Perl application.

    Totally wrong.

    1. The nForce graphics are similar to who you get on a nvidia graphics card, except the core speed is a bit lower. The graphics core is integrated into the northbridge & memory bandwidth isn't a problem
    eg nForce3 plays 3d games well but a bit slower than a top-of-the-line card.
    2. They accept a standard AGP card

    So with nForce you get "acceptable" integrated 3d graphics, with the option of adding your own high end card.

    Both Suse 9.1 and Mandrake 10 detect the nForce features and install drivers automatically.
    So you have sound, ethernet and 3d graphics working without any tweaking needed.

    I have two nForce micro-ATX motherboards (Asus & EPoX) which fit in small micro-ATX cases.

    Wrong. They are offering less than 10% of shares to the public. ie they are offering $2B to the public.

    The market cap will be over $36B, with most of this is being the current owners.

    With second quarter earning of $78M, and a projected market cap of $36B, the PE is 36000/(78*4)=115.

    With a PE of 115 Google is an expensive stock & I guarantee Warren Buffet won't be buying at the price. By comparison banking stocks have PEs generally under 20.

    Analysts (and I use the term loosely) try to spin these high PEs by claiming there will be high growth, and using Price Earnings Growth (PEG) models.

    I won't be buying at that price.
