SCO bought the source code and license rights to Unix in 1995
I thought they bought a license to the source code and license rights to the code, but not ownership of the source, and that Novell owns the code So this article is not entirely accurate
I guess SCO figured out IBM is not going to buy them out So they are going to be trying the same trick on some other companies, pumping up their stock along the way
I think it could be as easy as getting some key products for linux.
Imagine Doom III being released as linux only, that would make a lot of people create a dual boot system. After that, they're trying to install linux binaries of every game that has one

Flash is a great medium, but has nothing to do on the web
It does, but everybody is abuseing the ease of use to create Flash content. If it's well designed and actually usable I don't have a problem with it.
This does count out 99 % of the current flash sites
Microsoft is viewing this as a high-risk low-cost gamble
After SCO goes down in flames everybody is going to ask themselves why the hell Microsoft was supporting them, we all know of course. But you're average Joe doesn't It will put Microsoft in a very negative light
The whole Virtual PC thing I think Microsoft is going to rerelease Virtual PC as something like Virtual Windows, only allowing some flavor of Windows to run
Safari was created because Microsoft hasn't been releasing any major new version of IE for mac for Years, last major update was from 4 to 5, and there only at 5.2.2 now
Safari was a "fuck you" to Microsoft from Apple
And Microsoft uses this as an excuse not to release any new version
Good thing the future for Microsoft doesn't look to bright otherwise I would be really woried
The problem with Microsoft is that it is just another company, it has to make money. The good thing about free software is it doesn't have to make money Microsoft knows this and they're losing (slowly) to linux
It is just a matter of time before a small group of geniuses write the next easy to use, lightweight window manager for linux (hint, hint, hint!!!), and people will start moving to linux more rapidly, and there will be nothing Microsoft can do about it! Sure they can start offer windows XP 2006 for a nice bargain, but they cannot release it for free (not for ever anyway) Hooray the revolution has almost begun!!
The problem with Microsoft is that they want to controll everything digital. And they use the OS to launch these services products etc. He who controls the OS controls wat runs on the OS. That's why Microsoft makes sure that competing product X doesn't run as good as Microsoft product X.
The only solution is a free OS controlled by nobody, where competitors have a fair chance, resulting in higher quality software

from a government point of view, to prevent economic collapse because of widespread panic.
They will be wanting to keep there country afloat if this ever happens again.
BTW how many of you will be going to China on holliday this year?

SCO is serious about making a lot of noise
You know what they say: negative attention is still attention
In section 3.03 of exhibit B it clearly states that "AT&T" may revoke the licence for non-compliance
But shouldn't that non-compliance be proving in court first??
That's like stopping somebody on the street, tell the person that he/she stole my money and immediately punching him/her in the face
they're trying to play hardball
It's like kicking an elephant in the nuts to get it's attention: Brave, but very stupid
Or.. Suck My Big Blue D*ck
You must be embarrassed about you're sexuality, otherwise you wouldn't be posting as an anonymous coward

Obviously not a Mozilla fan
Of course not, Microsoft employees are programmed to dislike anything that has to do with the GPL

I thought everybody has access to the underlying operating system
For a few billion quid a year we get told how to run our country
Of course you'd rather be told be president Bush how to run your country
Were talking about computer programmers here, not real people :)
anyways self inflicted sex doesn't count
15 years old of course, before they get interested in sex, and start developing a mind of there own
That was a big suprise wasn't it

And if they can't do what they want. Bill will just pay a visit to his old friend The President of the United States of America
I don't think this guy's got that $ 100000000
If he did he could buy himself out of situations instead of shooting
That's what those rich folks do al the time
If they are able to legally define spam (not that easy)
Isn't that just unwanted email from (most of the time) unknown origin?
And curse those spammers to the firey pits of hell
I'll bet that'll make the remaining spammers think twice before they'll send out spam again
The press release is only about Porn targetted at children,
shouldn't that be unwanted email targeted at everybody??
Even though most spam is porn, you should be able to sue went you get other crap
