I for one am happy that the QTconsole team took the time to make their software build on FreeBSD. However, for an April 1st release, it still leaves much to be desired.

I've never needed more than vi to configure, make and install my kernel on BSD:
/usr/src
vi MYKERNEL
cd
make buildkernel && make installkernel
phew! I'm done.

I like FreeBSD's method much better:
/usr/src /etc/cvsupfile
cd
cvsup -z
make buildkernel && make installkernel && fastboot
I found both to be good sources for animie. The prices are good, if you don't get into a bidding war with someone...
