  1. Personal experiences on Research: File Traders And Music Purchasing · · Score: -1

I'm 15, and I fit right into this 12-17 group. I've never bought a CD in my life. Why? Because I simply don't care. I don't want to hear any new artists, I really don't care what other people are listening to, and the only type of music I'm into is classical. All the classical pieces I like can be freely and legally downloaded on the Internet. What bothers me is that the record companies are going to point to people in my demographic as lost sales due to downloads, when that isn't always the case.

  13. Threat on States Drop Planned Presentation of Modular Windows · · Score: -1, Troll

I think it was just a threat by the states' lawyers, and they realize that a modular version of Windows really wouldn't be good for consumers. Sure, you could choose what you want, but most consumers actually like Windows, it's the companies that complain. The reason Microsoft is a monopoly is because their products were/are superior to other companies. The only fair solution to solve a monopoly problem is to produce a superior product, and then users will switch to that new product. Only in America would we penalize companies for too much success...

I think it would be best to make it illegal to have actual pornographic content on a .com/.net/.org site. However, text would still be allowed. Thus porn operators could keep their current addresses, but all images and videos would have to be on a .prn server. Filtering software could then block anything from .prn, and all porn content would be gone. In the worst case, a child would get an empty page with absolutely no graphics, just some text.
