I used to be in the top 300 editors before I was hounded out by deletion fascists. They would all use their delete voting sockpuppets on AFD and it didn’t matter how many sources you provided if ‘they’ didn’t like it would go. Wikipedia uses its Google ranking to influence the web and if it wants you to be an unperson it will. I hope this guy gets a job at Britannica or World Book since he is wasting his talent at Wikipedia.

Th scenario that Mozilla goes bankrupt after losing too much confidence in them after too many “experiments” causing Chrome to have a virtual monopoly with surviving mozilla forks having sub 1% market share and chromium forks having to have their adblockers crippled. For the sake of the web get a clue Mozilla and restore XUL before it’s too late.

Anyone who used the internet around 2003 knew it was almost all IE at 95%. We are getting close to that again with Chrome and chrome derivatives. Once we cross the threshold again developers wll stop supporting Firefox based browsers and HTML will be CML (chrome mark up language. We can stop Chrome but only if we act now.

Like it not, XP is not going away soon. It is too useful for many purposes and still has over 10% market share in China. If software arbitrarily drops support for XP then older versions will stay in use. There is still significant amount of users on Chrome 49 and Firefox 52 since they support XP. Just because Microsoft dosen't support it dosen't have to mean that open source software needs to. XP forever!

  5. Since websites will assume if you are using firefox, you must be blocking ads. This will be a fom of drm and more websites will be going chrome only to ensure thir ads will be seen. Chrome has acheived the browser monopoly after we fought so hard to get rid of Internet Explorer.

Google often puts Wikipedia at the top spot, sometimes in special infoboxes (Wikipedia's word). But Wikipedia is censoring knowledge by saying sources are "not reliable" or the topic is"not notable".One "notable" victim is ResetEra, who was deleted as not notable despite being one of the most influential gaming forums on the internet and was especially notable as the successor to the website Neogaf which employs similar censorship tactics as Wikipedia does. What's more Wikipedia begs for money that could be used for feeding starving children instead. Despite Wikipedia's flaws there has been no serious effort to replace it. Most sites like Infogalactic and Everipedia have their own even worse pov pushing problems and Citizendium never got off the ground.

I protest Wikipedia to this day by being a long term abuser" on the site.

And if you're going to say it, Pale Moon already sold out blocking noscript and other blocking tools. The Googlization is an open source wide problem, getting Blinked is the same trend as getting Electroned or SystemD'ed

  14. Windows 7 is Microsoft’s new nightmare on Windows 7 Enters Its Final Year of Free Support (arstechnica.com) · · Score: 3, Insightful

Microsoft could easily prevent this but they will instead risk world security for a few billion extra dollars. In a sane world legal action would be taken to force Microsoft to make a fit for purpose successor to Windows 7, but Microsoft enjoys money too much and can bribe their way out of it.
