The outsourcing excuse is used immediately by offending companies 90% of the time. However, it is only an excuse as the company is still held responsible since they are the ones distributing the software.
I guess he's hoping when Longhorn is released in 2020, Windows will be affordable because people can get the hardware for cheap (of course Windows will probably cost about $10,000/license then).
XMSR (XM) $ 28.98
SIRI (SIRIUS) $ 3.87
Which is overpriced?
Well, that would depend on how many shares of each stock there are. Someone needs a little Stock 101:)
The problem with that is most of the stuff they build is Windows specific and IE specific. Surely, they would be building Mozilla/FireFox extensions if they were planning on expanding thier browser extensions.
Actually, since the systems were most likely located in one central location, they probably contained many of the same software packages. Its possible that the configuration they had conflicted with the SP2 install. That doesn't mean it is SP2's fault. Maybe the software just doesn't work with SP2?
Dell doesn't want customers like this, and they'll be happy to give em their money back if it will make them not buy from them. No large business would want to deal with someone like this.
So you are saying Dell is choosing who is the *right* customer? This is the type of customer Dell should want. They have a problem with the way they handle their EULA. Hopefully this will help them to fix the problem. The user never said they wouldn't agree to it. They just wanted to see the whole license which they couldn't. Dell is the one to blame here, not someone following the rules.
The crime is copyright infringement, not "stealing."
No, the crime is illegal distribution of copywrited materials.

Compared to something like assembly or machine language, I would consider C, a "high-level" language. Of course compared to a language like c++ or Java, it is not as "high-level".
If you are using Windows, your whole system could become unstable (I know, it already is). But you could lose other sensitive data you have open as well.
I imagine around half of the people working there fix bugs, and a big number of the rest of the guyd probably have jobs that are relatively un-interesting compared to the early pioneers.
That just shows how much you really know then. Just because the government agencies don't have big glitzy websites pimping their products doesnt mean they arent creating any.
I noticed that search for a page for a site I had updated about three months ago was still showing the previous data.
I believe you are referring to the caching of the web page. That is most likely a separate process than the indexing. So it probally occurs less freqently.

Who downloads WMA files over p2p anyways?
but it'll never have the same feel that Netscape had.
Thank god.
Balmer wants a $100 computer.

Doesn't GMail support both SPF and Domain Keys? Headers show Received-SPF in emails sent to gmail accounts now.
Why would you rather they don't use it?
Because there are much better alternatives like NSIS or the many others. Plus, who wants to require freaking runtime to install software.

Since the dropline win32 GTK runtime distribution is no longer maintained, are they rolling their own?
Yes, they have developed their own gtk installer.

Yeah, its real surprising that they use a hat as a logo for the Fedora project CONSIDERING A FEDORA IS A HAT!

Because its written in MFC!

Yes, but if you don't read the newspaper you still have to pay for it. Not here. You only pay for what you see.

If you learn to read, you will notice that they are referring to the full database of 900,000 web pages not the sample db you can download.
