That's actually word-for-word the story posted on Blizzard's main site. Lame.

  2. Re:Big launch on Video Game Music Mixes · · Score: 2, Insightful

There's a huge difference between what VGmusic.com does and what VGmmix.com does.

VGmusic.com present MIDI data of song mixes, most of them trying to mimic the originals as much as possible.

VGmix.com, on the other hand, presents MP3 remixes of songs. Decent ones, too.

I dunno, I'd rather hear an MP3 of someone playing actual music than listen to some dinky MIDI data running through a cheap wavetable chip or soundfont any day.

Ooo. Dancing Q2 models. Soon we'll have to feed them, play with them, punish them, and clean up their little piles of crap, or they'll revolt and take over the desktop.

Maybe they'll make NPC Jedis based on N*SYNC members, then pull them at the last minute due to overwhelming fan response!

Actually, even for gaming, the 8500 is awesome. It may not have the same level of speed, but on most games, the framerate'll still be above 60, which is all that is needed.

The 8500 also has much higher image quality than any GeForce card on the market.

As the complete asshole foobar104 noted, it generally means the "act or process of measuring". You're looking at the online version of Merriam-Webster, which is VERY general.

Go check the Oxford Dictionary of the English Language.

Why would we want or need computers to 'see' in 3d?
Sure, if might be of an advantage to people who need their computer to read their lips. All in all, though, it is of very little use.

I can see it now, webcams that have stereoscopic input. A whole new breed of porn/camwhoring'll rear it's useless, ugly head.

Our computers don't need to see us. We don't need THEM telling us we're all ugly.

  12. Well. on Adcritic Shuts Down · · Score: 1

It's sad to see Adcritic shutting down. It seems many sites are getting too big, too fast to survive todays world. What's even worse is that some decent sites, like Adcritic are going down. I'm actually disappointed with AC's folding, unlike with the insta-folding of stupid sites like Fuali.com.

  13. Re:Final Fantasy 10?? on More Final Fantasy Bits · · Score: 1

FF7 was terrible, but not as horrible as 8 or as bland as 9. Six still is the best in terms of story/character development, with the most unique play system being in FF3j or FF5.

How FF7 can be your favorite FF game is mind-boggling.

Just because Tifa had tits didn't make it worth playing.

Or how about the story?: "I'm Cloud! Wait, no, I'm a clone! No I'm not! I'm Cloud? I'm a clone!"... continued for the whole 25-35 hours it took to beat that game completely...

I must admit, however, that FF7 is best in terms of the ENDING, however. It was the only good, serious ending to any FF game [For example, FF4's ending was a cheery, lame 'everyone lived happily ever after' type...].
