Cuz, you see, when people self-identify with the products, how many Moms are going to say, "Yes, I'm chic and cool. That's who I am."?
No, they are going to say "if I use this product, I will be cool." Apple has been branding itself as something that makes you cool. This ad makes Apple uncool. You won't be cool by using their products. You'll either be an annoying geek or a complete moron.
Isn't an ad campaign basically a self-measuring practice? Either their sales will go up, or they wont.
Ads are not necessarily about sales. They are frequently used for branding as part of a long-term strategy, and in these cases they are not trying to push for sales right now.
Why are you spending all this time writing lots of comments telling people they've been trolled? It's almost as if you have something to gain by doing so...
But what is the right price for Facebook? Evidently some people were willing to pay $38 during the IPO, so that was obviously the right price. And there's no telling what the price will be a few years from now. Maybe Facebook will be at $100.
It's a fallacy to pick the price at an arbitrary time and claim that that's the "right price" for Facebook. It's the right price today, but it wasn't during the actual IPO because clearly people were willing to pay more then.
"Record" is referring to something very specific, and you probably know that. So it's puzzling why you are still arguing about it after several people have told you what "record" means.
Also, "that bitch who spilt coffee on herself and then sued McDonalds" is not the poster child for frivolous lawsuits that ignorant pissants like you make it out to be.
I strongly disagree. I have read all the arguments trying to claim that it isn't, but I don't buy it. You simply don't handle hot beverages that carelessly! She only has herself to blame. The lawsuit was frivolous and ridiculous.
I don't hate McD. In fact, I don't blame McD for this incident at all. I would only blame the people who actually did something wrong. And I'll happily eat at McD in the future.
And with that out of the way, let me tell you that you are an idiot. You're going bananas over people pointing out that they tore up a piece of paper, and trying to convince people that it probably wasn't a doctor's note.
Firefox has better memory management than any other popular browser.
Correction: That's Opera. Firefox's memory handling is apparently quite primitive compared to Opera's. While Opera dynamically adapts all the time, Firefox seems to just dump stuff from memory when it thinks it's using too much. Artificial "memory tests" do not show the full picture (such as what happens when you're surfing for a long time).
I'm sure they were very aware that it was Opera who sued Microsoft (and won)
Opera didn't sue Microsoft.
Opera, Mozilla, and a bunch of other companies and organization contacted the EU Commission for Competition and asked them to look into Microsoft's practices.
No, you are blaming the victim. All the victim did was to visit the place, show the note from his doctor, and order food when they seemed to accept it. When the thugs came to assault him he once again showed his doctor's note, and then they proceeded to viciously attack him.
Why would you question his decision making process? He's with his kids. His kids are hungry. They want food ASAP or they won't stop nagging. The staff initially seemed to accept the letter. You must be thick to think there's something wrong with his decision making progress. Get kids and get a clue, then return to the discussion.
The marketing department of Apple, Inc. did not need to "sell" their wares as much as their peers in other companies (like Nokia or RIM, for example), as Mr. Jobs himself had done most of the selling.
I find this statement to be ridiculous. Do you think things happen by themselves? No. Marketing is very broad - from the stuff you see on apple.com to straight out ads. They did indeed need to sell their wares, and did so very well, judging by the success of Apple products of recent years. Of course, having great products to sell helped a lot.
A Google search for "3D movie sales" seems to give quite consistent results:
- "Hollywood was quick to jump on the 3D bandwagon, but ticket sales are falling." (The Guardian, UK)
- "3D ticket sales are continuing to fall in North America" (Film Junk, NA)
- "Despite a Huge Box Office Year, 3D Sales Are Slipping & Hollywood Worries" (BruSimm)
- "3D ticket sales hit a record low in US" (TechRadar)
So your claim does not seem to hold water at all. In fact, just about every single source you can find will either show that 3D is consistently dropping across the board (not just 3D TV sales, but just about everything 3D), or will be some movie business people trying to convince themselves and others that 3D does rock, and people do want it despite the tanking sales..
What groupthink do you subscribe to, since your claims seem to counter reality? And why the accusations of groupthink against people who are pointing out the 3D failure?
There's no such thing. Anonymous is not a group where you apply for a membership. Anonymous is basically anyone who's anonymous online.

Or you are another Microsoft employee trying to convince people that Microsoft didn't get caught red-handed doing immoral stuff.. again.
Yes, why not? Microsoft has done a lot of dumb shit in the past. What makes you think they have stopped doing dumb shit?
Why are you spending all this time writing lots of comments telling people they've been trolled? It's almost as if you have something to gain by doing so...

Maybe he's sick of the actual lawsuit. Frustrated that there is one in the first place.
"Record" is referring to something very specific, and you probably know that. So it's puzzling why you are still arguing about it after several people have told you what "record" means.
The one with actual measurements. I'm guessing you knew that, though and are just faking ignorance because it helps you undermine the science.
That last quote is fake. It's a misrepresentation by the Daily Fail. Educate yourself.
Why don't you just read the damn thing instead of commenting on something you obviously didn't even look at?

Take a break. You are going insane.

Reporting a crime != lawsuit.

The comment you are replying to didn't even mention Apple or Linux, so what are you talking about?
I find this statement to be ridiculous. Do you think things happen by themselves? No. Marketing is very broad - from the stuff you see on apple.com to straight out ads. That doesn't even begin to make sense. The very first Android phone had a physical keyboard!
So if you want to look for hooks, that most certainly is not it. I suspect there is none.
...and yet you provide no sources for your claims...

Um, did you miss the dropping 3D movie sales? 3D TV sales? Lousy 3DS sales?
So why are 3D sales sinking like a stone?
