Funny how the unfairly moderating editors are getting confused when an account both trolls and posts seriously. Looks like my post above got moderated down simply because I posted it.

Too bad the editors won't get hurt by metamoderation.

Slashdot moderation is completely corrupt. Replace it already!

Make it illegal to seek health care independent of what the government provides.

Why is it that you people see the world black and white?

Either all health care is private or it is public.

The so called socialist European nations provide reasonably good public health service but the private sector is available to those who can afford to pay.

For instance in certain Western European countries you'll go to jail if you refuse to serve and the practise has an overwhelming public support. All initiatives to go for a professional army have been clearly defeated.

    WRONG!

It's not just pro forma profit but real profit!

The retailer had been expected to announce only a so-called "pro forma" profit, an unreliable measure that excludes all but the most basic adjustments.

In fact, it made $5m net of all expenses during the quarter, compared with a loss of $545m a year earlier.

Founder and chief executive Jeff Bezos had promised that Amazon would at least break even on a pro forma basis, but almost no one had predicted that it would record a net profit.
