Uh, and just how do you know Square didnt come to nvidia and ask for a deal so they could earn some extra cash? To me it looks like NVidia is fine (please, nvidia != 3dfx, its getting old), and Square is the one that is taking drastic measures.
Erm... Bill Gates got in on computers when there were relatively few courses available for it, and they were basic at best. Also keep in mind that he quit the last year, so he was almost finished anyway.

For instance, Google already has refused advertising from credit card companies that tried to buy listings under the "Palm Pilot" category, said Omid Kordestani, the company's senior vice president of worldwide sales and business development.
Even if it already has been active for sometime, and only on the right side of the page, at least we won't have to stare at "MAKE MONEY NOW!!!!!" ads across the side of the page every time we search for the happy fun ball.
