    Sorry to rain in your parade, but whoever says Wifi doesn't have the range obviously doesn't know what he is talking about

    By amplifying the signal with specialized antennas (like omni antennas, for example), one can extend the wifi range to a 2KM radius !

    Of course, the farther away the client is from the station, the lower the speed, but it does work !

    And the reason is Philly deployed its wifi the wrong way --- all the antennas they used are of the cheap kind, plus they never even bother to amplify their signals so that more people can access to it

    But then... it's Philly we are talking about, a city which is dying, in a country which is dying

    Same as Aumatar, I keep mine open

    And I purposely put out specially amplified antennas so that users can access my wifi even when they are as far as 2KM from it (provided there's nothing obstructive like a building or a tall tree in between those who access my wifi and where I put up the antennas, that is)

    Let people try it out, set up a forum where they can send in their feedbacks, and then improve the game on the points that make sense

    One day in not that long in the future we gonna wake up to the fact that only IBM, Intel and some Taiwanese companies (Nvidia, VIA, TSMC) gonna be the only one left still making power processors for the world

    And if I am not wrong, IBM may end up not making chips as well

    In 2004 or so Samsung announced their FinFET design and claimed that they were going to incorporate their FinFET design into their DRAM chips

    It's 2009 now, and Samsung has yet to incorporate FinFET into any of their design

    How about patently false entry?

    The country I live in is a former British colony, and the official entry on Wikipedia regarding that country is firmly controlled by the government, and the history portion of the entry blames British for everything, something that is patently false

    I have tried to correct those mistakes but everytime within 15 minutes the old entry are back, and finally I was warned by someone (supposed to be volunteer for Wikipedia) to STOP meddling with that particular entry

    My experience is only for that entry, and God knows how many of such types of patently false information that are purposely displayed in Wikipedia

    I ain't a Chinese or a Burmese, but as a human being, I can at least _feel_ the pain of those who perished, or injured, or have lost everything in the quake and the typhoon, man.

    How can people be so cruel , so heartless , so damn cold blooded ...

    It is unfortunate for those who perished in this quake, but on the other hand, it is also "lucky" that the quake rocks now.

    Imagine what would happened if it rocks during the Olympics?

    Imagine stadium collapsing, spectators and athletes buried under the rubbles, a global sport event turns into a global nightmare ...

    Imagine that ...

    My prayers for those who lost their lives and are injured, or have lost their properties in this quake.

    Not every single drop of the water we use today is formed that way. There are lots of other ways water is formed.

    For example: Volcanic activity

    Whenever there's some volcanic activity, you see steam coming up. Those are "NEW" water, as Hydrogen streaming out of the earth crust, it mixes with Oxygen in the air, and walla ... H2O !

    I bet the Kilauea volcano in Hawai'i has given us quite a number of drops of H2O over the years. :)
