    You can probably overclock to 101,000 i/s or so. But watch the heat! You can slighty warm the surrounding air with one of these monsters.

    I would spell it Kris's and pronounce it Kris-iz.

    Nb. I have an southern English accent. I find Kris's easy to say. I find Adams's hard to say.

    It's probably something to do with whether a vowel or a consonant (involving the lips coming together like with 'M') is before the S.

    • Adams' is correct.
    • Adams's is correct too, I didn't say it wasn't.
    • Adam's is wrong.


    I prefer Adams' it's easier to say.

    No, it is correct.

    Following the rules you get Adams's, as you say, but since that is hard to say (Adams-es) the last s is dropped to give Adams'.

    The form used in the article (Adam's) is completely wrong regardless because his name is Adams.

    A 1 petabyte, say, file is still useful on a 100Mb drive if your file system supports sparse files.

    A file with a logical size of 1Pb doesn't have to occupy 1Pb of space on the disk.

    A quick guide
    • Closeups of ugly jewellery : A shopping channel; I don't care which one.
    • Stock tickers and/or sports scores (News may be happening in one corner) : A news channel; I don't care which one.
    • Crap music : VH1 or the country music network
    • No music : MTV.
    • Adverts : The Sci Fi channel.
    • Not quite adverts : Oregon Public BroadcastingB (or your state's equivalent, obviously)
    • People in a contrived, yet curiously unamusing, situation : A situation comedy on channels 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,12 or 13 (this is specific to my TV and you may have to consult a TV guide to determine which channels show crap sitcoms 24/7)
    • Animals shagging : Discovery channel or channel 11 (see note above).
