Because, this is a landmark case involving such topics of debate as whether a domain name is owned by registrar or registrant, whether virtual, incidental prior art can trump a patent, and why the hell they'd kill Trinity at the end of the movie. Maybe this should be relegated to yro.slashdot.org, but hey, it's early in the AM:)
4) Would a dating service for people on the net be "frowned upon" by DMCA? I hope not. But even if it is, don't let that stop you from notifying me via net mail if you start one.
the future, there's only one man for the job: Al Jaffee.
from the word processor to the ATM, he's invented so many things in jest that 15 years later appear on the market, it's a wonder we don't speak his name in the same breath as Edison.
I think you're misoverestimating the affect that the blue lazer wavelenth produces. Sure, there are more errors, but they are smaller, and this balances out in the end when compared with red lazors.
I too am at a loss to describe any existing problem which BeOS solves. For a lack of useful commercial-type applications, it's bad enough being on Linux instead of Windows or Mac OS X, let alone on an uber-dabbler's OS.
the mod says 'flamebait' but my brain says 'spot-on'. Linux nerds have singlehandedly turned the geek community, once thriving with creativity and individuality, into a sea of obnoxious RMS-gamahuching dweebs -- who think they're cool.
When companies switch from Irix to Linux, it means one of two things:
* they bought new SGI workstations, which run Linux, OR
* they couldn't afford SGI workstations, so they bought other Intel workstations with Linux.
It's not an amazing breakthrough jump. It's just that SGI barely sells Irix machines anymore.
I smile whenever ancient Unix utils are updated

Except security. Welcome to the 21st Century, syslog.
Attila the motherfucking Hun was badder than all those pink-ruffled pansy faggots mentioned here, combined. You'd better make your offerings real fucking soon, 'cause you miserable dicklickers are totally fucking doomed if he rises again on the Dark Solstice and shows your queeny asses the meaning of "total pain".
Stippling is just the application of small, uniform polygons (aka "dots") in rendering images. To modern graphics hardware, a dot may as well be a polygon, so we haven't gained much in practical terms.

It's all moot, when we move to IPv6

How long before MS changes .NET in order to break Mono?

When I get really fucking high, I usually prefer to be on a BSD system.
Considering ESR's Halloween VIII stressed that decrying the GPL was so ineffective for MS, even their market researches knew it.
you're assuming that it's SANITY driving the BSA??
- try to destroy country and most people in it
- wait 30 years
- get buddy-buddy with said country despite uncountable POW/MIA presence and the fact that we only 30 years ago wanted them gone
It would make more sense if America could hold an opinion for more than 5 years. But, why would anyone use GTK when OS X provides the vastly better Aqua?

i liked it better before they came around.

Unlike big spoilers on Honda Civics, the "swoosh!" doesn't actually make the shoes any faster.
Spoilers do not make a vehicle go faster... they are useless until the car is going very fast, and all they do then is hold the car to the road.
I believe the "again" in your post is needless, confusing, and grammatically poor.
