We're now just one step closer to having that same, really ultra bizzare targetting system that was depected in Babylon 5 - Legend of the Rangers!
But humans can only look in one direction - what about all the other directions?
on the Simpsons, there was a toilet that would make the water drain in the opposite direction (the Coriolis effect)... i want to see a toilet incorporate this as a feature!:)
hmmm. didn't show a picture of the monitor. judging from the high quality parts they used for the computer, though, i'd wager that the monitor was a simple crt based one... in which case, it woudln't be very mobile.
and besides, if you wanted to have a portable computer to take with you to a lan party, why not just get a laptop?
anyway's, i'd worry about people trying to "pop" those "bubbles"...
The combined mass of the pendulums has to be very small compared to the combined mass of the entire clock assembly and frame - this was where Huygens was lucky.
i'm not sure where non linear dynamics and chaos theory come into this, but ah well... i probably wouldn't understand it, anyways.
so... that which intrigues man has gone from undiscovered land masses, to redisocvered lost cities, and now to ancient riddles. i wonder what we're going to do for intrigue once we solve all these ancient riddles...
one of the reasons windows ce handhelds have suppousedly been doing better is because of their internet connectivity... maybe this, along with the palm m705 will level the playing field?
but, as for the palm m705... it actually has a graffiti pad, and an antenna that seems like it would have a longer life span. i think i'll just stick with that one!
you buy them at a substantially reduced price, and can only watch them a set number of times... sounds to me like video rental. and in video rental, you only have to produce the media once. it can be rented out as often as you want. sounds to me like they're trying to compete with a strong industry by introducing an inferior product! ah well...
it's truely amazing - paramount is actually learning from their mistakes! the st:tos dvd's had 2 eps per dvd, and no special features, but now... paramount prooves that they listen to their customers, and do something like this! What a great company.
And I remember when Warner Brothers was being hailed as more ahead of it's time than Paramound was - predictions that we'd get DVD's of B5 sooner than we'd get them for star trek... heh. in heindsight, that's sorta funny!
yeah, but... ya know... if their proprietary desktops had succeeded, then they really would have hit it big. can't blame them for trying, can you? well... maybe if they try to much, but if they do leave the PC industry, then they obviously won't have tried to much. besides, microsoft seems to be doing the same thing (incorporating proprietary features into software) - only time will tell if they'll be doomed to the same fate, also...
I don't know about most video games, but I do think that rpg's should be considered a form of art, just like works of literature are. As for code being art... well... I think that the development of a new algorithim can be considered an art, but not a piece of art. I mean, it doesn't have any intrinsic aethetic value, does it? As for whether or not sprites can be considered art, or not... well... yeah - I believe they are art, but that's not really the question I believe we should be asking - are they worthy of being put into a mueseum? First off, I don't see how one can say they aren't art... Anyways, as for whether or not they should be put into a museum, I believe they probably will never achieve that level of success - i believe sprites are a less respectable media than even comics, mtgcards, or even pokemon are, and they are actually hand drawn, in the conventional sense.
a more direct link would be http://http.eds-us871.storage.akadns.net/6462/prod uction/ep2/breathing/media/promo/ep2_breathing_m64 0.mov , but i guess that the 64k file that the link you gave points at has some sort of authentication routines so it can access that other link... maybe...

The Comprehensive Lisp Archive! That'd be about as useful! hehe.

i suppose the next step will be to make the dancing be interactive? before you know it, we'll have a game on our hands!

that's a good point! and even if they're in the production order, tasha yar dies in skin of evil, yet is in the neutral zone..

maybe this IS why the terrorist attacks happened. They did say that this was months in the planning.
